My dipped drivers side bulb is out and I have no warning on the dash. Either in the normal instrument cluster or the maxidot display (I assume its maxidot as it shows doors open and other info) The Skoda dealership here in Germany where I bought it said he thought that was only on Octavia and Superb (He was just a salesman and not an technician) Can you guys give any insight into this. Should I get a warning that a bulb is out? It is a pre-facelift 2014 model

Just picked up my Ex demonstrator on Saturday. German spec 1.6 Elegance with a few extras. 3700km on the clock and approx. 20% off book price. I was after a diesel quick and was looking for a spaceback but the wait would be approx. 3 months so got this one in White instead. I already have an Octavia Greenline just under 3 years old but needed a second hand reliable and economical car as I am now commuting from Germany to Belgium during the week. really liking it and it is just so easy when on the motorway.

The door protection trim on the outside of the passenger door is coming loose at one end. Does anyone have a suggestion to what glue is best to use to secure it and the best way of doing it. Thanks

Trip to Italy in the Octavia

Another warning for France. It is also illegal to use Sat Nav with speed camera warnings. It can be upto 1500 euros fine. Just make sure you disable it while in France (not just via the GUI, but you have to connect it to your PC and disable it that way). A french colleague has told me the Police aren't allowed to check your satnav, they are only allowed to ask you but I would not risk it. Its that bad that if your car has built in sat nav, you have to take it to the manufacturer to get it disabled. -
Just put on a coat of Autoglym's High Def wax a couple of days ago. (but one get one free at Halfords over easter). Found it really easy to apply and looks like the tub will last ages. Anyway, its raining at the moment and I was just admiring the way the rain water is simply rolling off the car. I've not really delved into detailing befor but for those like me who aren't sure about it all, I'd definately recommend this. washed the car at the local jet carwash, they have a snow lance. used this and washed with a lambswool mit and rinsed. dried off with a microfibre towel, drove home, applied a coat of autoglym super resin polish and then the wax. really simple and great results.

Just thought I'd let you guys know of the deal on at Halfords at the moment. Buy one get one free on all Cleaning Chemicals. This include Autoglym and the likes. Just got 2 Autoglym High Def Wax for the price of one, should keep me going for a couple of years.

Guys, Quick question over warranty repairs. Will a Skoda dealer in the UK carry our warranty repairs on a Skoda bought in Belgium?

Dash top storage not closing
bobbyger replied to bobbyger's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Facelift model, nothing in it and still under warranty. I will be taking it to the dealer, just wondered if this was a regular thing to happen? -
As the title says, my dash top storage lid does not close, FL Model. Has anyone had experience of this and if so, how easy is it to fix. Cheers in advance

you should try living in Belgium, the potholes here have forced me to change the rear springs on my vauxhall signum as one of them had snapped.
