Hello, I decided to go for the genuine Skoda Karoq roof bars as I had Skoda Yeti bars before and never had a problem, also I think it’s easier to sell in future if the item is genuine Skoda. I’ve fitted them once and removed them and they seem to be very secure, next job is to fit my Thule kayak accessory to them.

Hello, more advice sought please 🙂 I’ve just sold my Yeti roof bars (genuine Skoda make) so now I need some for my Karoq, trawling the internet I can’t decide between the Thule or the Skoda roof bars. Any opinions gratefully received. 😎

Hi folks, this is the first time I’ve had a keyless entry system and I’ve been reading scary things that thieves can stand outside your house and ‘read’ your key fob to gain entry to your car in order to steal it or contents ! The solution suggested is to keep your key fobs in a Farraday cage bag, has anyone got suggestions if this is necessary or practical ? 🤔😕

Had my brand new Karoq two weeks, they may as well have left the owners guide in German for what use it is to me 😡

Thanks for the replies, I’ve also found the balance & fader etc, I’ll check out the ignition next 👍. I must say the Karoq is a complete upgrade from my beloved Yeti.

Just got my Karoq SE L, it’s a computer on wheels ! I’m trying to fiddle with the audio balance & fader…I can’t find where or how to do it but more importantly how do I have the ignition on without starting the engine ? If it was a key operation you just turn on to the position before starting engine but this is button start !

Hi, I’m picking up my new Karoq next week, Skoda are offering me 5 days free insurance with a quote for annual insurance to follow, has anyone had experience of taking up the offer and is Skoda insurance expensive/ good value ?

🥴 it appears that my roof bars are not Thule ! They are original Skoda bars I must have bought them about 9 years ago for my original Yeti, the accessories that I fitted to accommodate my kayaks are Thule so I can presumably salvage them. I’ve found some new bars on DRIVEDEN that seem to be a good price ? Thanks again for all the comments.

Sorry if this has been asked before in fact I hope it has 😎, I’m about to take delivery of my Karoq and as my Thule roof bars from my present Yeti will not fit the Karoq, has anybody got suggestions of what to buy, I will use them to carry two kayaks.

That’s because the SEL comes with heated steering wheel anyway, I think 🤔 yes my wife and daughter are big fans of the heated passenger seat in my Yeti 😎

Routemaster, yes it’s very confusing hence I’ve raised the subject on hear, I think the SE L comes with heated washers, heated steering wheel & headlight washers so the £350 is a discounted price so all I’m getting is a heated screen that I want and two heated rear seats that I don’t want ! 😕

Just ordered my Karoq SE L and it seems the only way to get a heated front screen is to pay for the ‘ Winter package plus ) £350 which includes heated steering wheel and two heated rear seats, I’m wondering how the rear seats can be removed if they are wired up for heating ?
