  1. I owed, albeit very briefly, a 2012 Mustang 5.0 and it was crap. I really wouldn't advise spunking 33k on a new one unless you intend to keep it for a long time and don't mind a cheaply made car. They don't seem to have any issue with build quality but rather it's the material they actually made the parts out of. Perhaps the new one is better, I haven't driven it yet. I had a Camaro SS too which was somewhat better, and at least handled reasonably well. The Challenger has a more up market interior out of the three but handles truly boat like and is massive.
  2. Or an NSX, not that I personally have but the general consensus is that it's brilliant.
  3. A Leaf, how interesting. Would be nice if you could do a decent review post about life with that once you pick it up!
  4. I had exactly the same map on my T6 as well, that was a seriously rapid car on the motorway, front wheel drive made it interesting on wet B-roads though. Fastest car I've actually owned would either be the T6, Audi S8, or most likely the Camaro SS I had
  5. Depends on if you're driving it everyday or not. If you are then either car is fine and you will find yourself enjoying whichever one you get at times, if it's something special to keep then without a doubt go for the BMW. The E39 M5 is going to be classic pretty soon where as the S4 will just fade into nothing. Get the M5, keep it mint and don't put many miles on it.
  6. What exactly are you trying to make it climb up, and are you sure that neither of the back wheels is turning? You shouldn't need to floor it as some have said, but a second or so of clear wheel speed difference between front and rear wheels should have the Haldex system putting more power to the rear automatically, it's possible the wheel speed sensor is giving a faulty reading or not working but that would throw up the ABS light usually. What does your Yeti do if you accelerate hard on a relatively flat loose or slippery surface?
  7. It's registered in Turkey and he is indeed speaking Turkish, sounds to me like the Eastern accent. Cool video, very different take on the usual videos of the Yeti on YouTube.
  8. Just FYI it's sitrep not citrep, as in 'Situation Report'.
  9. Probably not, it all gets a bit mental and hugely busy as you'd expect. The Dubai 24HR Race isn't far away and that's much more entertaining, plus there are hardly any spectators and the teams are quite happy for you to wander around the pits and chat with the drivers and crews which is nice. The only thing about the GP that I'm looking forward to is we're supplying a load of cars for the VIP shuttle so after GP we will be getting about 40 A8 in stock.
  10. Hi, No I'm not back, still in UAE but left Mercedes in Dubai and now with Audi in Abu Dhabi but still like to lurk around this forum!
  11. It's called 'dual pump system' and it's like an early version of Haldex where it is 100% FWD until slip is detected at which point a clutch is supposed to engage the rear axle, although this doesn't seem to either transmit nearly enough power to the rear axle or perhaps there is too much slip on the front axle that it won't engage the rear axle for fear of damaging itself. Either way it doesn't appear to be a useful system.
  12. Most likely the dealer lumped it together with a few other cars, probably sat with a dealer for 90 days and then they just had to move it on and trading it out with a few other cars is a good way to shift old stock without loosing money. I'd still rather take a small profit out of the Superb and a profit out of your trade in, than just sell the Superb for a small profit and be left with an empty space on the forecourt. But maybe you've got more experience working in the motor trade than me so your view is equally valid.
  13. Never understood why people think no having a trade in will get them a better deal. In this example I'd be more inclined to let you take the Superb for a smaller profit than normal just to move it on and take in a trade in that would be easier to sell and make some money out of that.
