Fabia insured yesterday and done about 60 miles in it already. Updated map uploaded by Kevlaaa and the logs sent off to John - thank you for the map update! Now running slightly more fuel and boost that it was before and feels great. Feels more comfortable to drive fast than the Astra does, its a lot lighter to steer aswell (I think it's the settings within VCDS). Was in mine yesterday then straight into Kev's 2260 Fabia and the difference is a lot so it's really got me urged to get a larger turbo onto the Fabia at some point :D

Definitely good to leave your own mark on a car. I'd like to say the Fabia will save me money but I'm sure it will get spent on modding it :D I've not been to any kind of car show / track day or anything since I sold the Fabia. Will surely be visiting some this year though.

The half tonne lift was done back in July. I watched it streamed live :D had wanted to go see live but was a couple days after returning from Lanzarote! There's plenty of videos on YouTube etc. Previous record was a little over 460kg..... so approx 40kg increase is a lot considering the record only seems to have increased 1kg each year recently!

Well it's home and I am happy! Loved the drive home, brought back all the love and the economy (something I'm not used too lol) Will switch insurance etc over fully next week and then be using it daily again. Definitely feels quicker than a standard Astra VXR.... mine is tuned to 309bhp though so does go quite well now :D

Thread from the dead.... Missed the Fabia ever since selling it. Had a few affairs with cars in between. Current affair is Astra VXR Nurburgring with just over 300bhp.... goes well but it's no VAG. And certainly isn't my old Fabia. So what did I do? Purchased it back.... pick it up next Thursday. Few more additions since I had it, approx 10K more miles. Will be going in to have a little few bits touched up at the body shop and then I'm sure with the help of a few of the members in our group what's app chat they'll convince me that a larger turbo is needed for more power. Really can't wait to get it back! :D

Haven't updated this for a while, I considered selling it, actually bought an EP3 and atill kept this parked up! Was at the gym one day and mate joked he'd buy the EP3 off me..... Well he did and within a couple of days it was sold and I was back in the octavia! I've not done anything major too it since last year, well recently had it re-remapped as its now running a hybrid turbo! Goes very well indeed! I still seemed to not have settled with it though, always looking at other cars on eBay etc - probably shouldn't have sold my Fabia thinking about it but hey ho! I'll post some pictures of the front splitter and a video of the acceleration if I can work out how to upload them to photo bucket. BMW 535D / 335D is tempting me

Kevs right about the exhaust! I can't remember what the bloke said its a long time ago - something to do with the way it's divided into the 2 tail pipes, have a look down the exhaust with a torch and see if there anything poking out inside (diverting flow)

Bump! Some must have installed a boost gauge in their mk2 Octy

I'll have a look! Tbh I haven't done much myself with the car so finding out for someone who's going to fit the boost gauge for me Reason I asked about the headlight switch is because I recall the fabia one being pretty awkward and involved pushing the switch in then twisting of some sort!

Anybody give me any tips where to run the vacuum pipe from bay into the car for a boost gauge? It's pd170 by the way of that makes a difference! Also how is the headlight switch removed to get access to the headlight loom?
