  1. Hi All, I thought I would post this to help the next person, as I do find it quite a task to get technical info on the Roomster. I will try and do it every time, as I don't like taking in a job and find that I am missing a tool. You don't need to remove the wheels, but I did. Remove two torx bolts from the top of the bumper, just at the bootlid shut panel Remove three torx screws from both inner arches Remove one expanding rivet from both inner arches Remove two expanding rivets from the bottom of the bumper between the exhaust and towing eye. Carefully pull the bumper out from one arch and the other side will follow.
  2. Hi all, Recently replaced both front shocks, now with the car flat on the ground, if I grab the o/s shock and pull, it will move 1 to 2 mm, with a clunk. It won't do it jacked up or with the wheel turned, only dead ahead. Any ideas? I'm hoping its just the top nut that is not tight enough. I replaced the top mount aswell. 3. Hi, I have had about half an inch of play on the driver side track rod for a while. Is it a problem and how much work is it to replace? Sent from my 7 Mozart T8698 using Tapatalk
  4. Hi all, anything I need to be aware of when doing this? IE what type of bolts will I come a cross, special tools etc
  5. Its simple, take off the wheel and there are two bolts at the top of the inner wing, one bolt and nut at the bottom of the shocker. Then one 16mm bolt on top for the bearing, which is a ******

  7. Try this link, if it doesn't work just look up AEZ wheels and then there is a link to a configurator, it's fantastic http://www.aez-wheels.com/AlcarKonfigurator/alloyv3/index.php?lcs=onz2sm13at&lng=en
  8. Dirty black, all levels are fine at the mo
  9. Got home yesterday and when I moved the car later I noticed that there was an oil spot on the drive around the size of a pound, we went out for a few hours and came home there was no new spot there this morning. I'm not going to get concerned at the moment as it is only small and it could be nothing but is this common? And where would it be coming from? It appears to be coming out in the middle of the plastic cover so I can't be sure of the origin.
  10. Thanks, it looks like someone had already tried to repair it at some point as it was all chewed up and the jack itself fell into the car and when I tried to remove the black surround it fell apart. It still works but as I say it needs the black surround so it will need to be a new part, £12 aint much so i'll get to Skoda asap.
  11. Hi, Does anyone have or know where I can get the aux in jack that clips in beside the fag lighter at the handbrake? Mine has fallen inside the centre console. :(
  12. Hi All, I have just joined and would like to say hi. I have recently purchased a 2008 Roomster 2 TDI, I had originally bought a Roomster 1 but while my wife and I were waiting on the numpty salesman from Arnold Clark to fill the car he crashed it into the back of someone during an alleged sneezing fit but I think the truth was that it was school lunch time and he was too busy oggling. This ended up going in our favour as we got the current car for the same money and it has alloys, climatic AC, better colour and no roof bars plus the 10 more bhp but it was one whole month of stress. I have always been a german car fan and have a Beetle in many pieces at the moment, but as my everyday car I have usually had something german aswell. After driving Skodas as taxis for years I decided to get one and I bought a 1999 Octavia with 230,000 miles on it from my then taxi boss as it was finished as a taxi due to age, I paid £400 in 2007 and drove it to and from my current job for a year then sold it as I got an Audi 80 with less miles. We have recently had a baby so my wife and I looked for something bigger than her Corsa and I had no car at this point and she found and chose the Skoda knowing that I would say yes as it ticked all of my many boxes. I am looking for a part but I will post a new topic in the appropriate area. Thanks, Mike
