No, you don't have to. There are certain areas that require period dress (and in some cases passes!), such as the paddocks and pit area, but you can still see most of what's there. I go with my old man, he's not up for getting all dressed up, but we've always got on fine. That said, I do feel a bit guilty when you see the effort some people go to!

I'm going to be getting my tickets shortly - it's right on my door step so I've got no excuse not to go! I can't wait either - for this or the Festival of Speed! My two favourite weekends of the year.

I've been pretty lucky on the whole, but I did own a Mazda RX8 for all of eight months! I was expecting high fuel bills and heavy oil consumption. What I wasn't expecting was for the thing to be constantly flooding (despite going through all the various rituals you have to use when turning off a rotary), struggling to start when cold, refusing to start when hot, and then one of the catalytic converters to break up - that would have been a big bill had it not still been under warranty! It was a great car to drive, but with that sort of reliabilty, using it every day was a nightmare. Still miss it at times though... :'(

I guess I'll have to stop telling everyone that mine's the only green one in the country then! All good things must come to an end I suppose.... I can still tell 'em mine was the first though!

Yes, according to the dealer (they already had it on order, apparently as a showroom car when I came knocking, it was the colour I wanted, and the spec was good, so I bought it instead!). There's another one due into the country any time now though... It's got leather seats and a sort of dark, carbon effect on the trim (which looks waaay better than it sounds IMO! )

Cheers! I know what you mean, it does look lighter than it does on the Fabia - I still love it though! I think your right - but luckily I've always had a thing for cars in unusual colours!
