  1. Hello everyone! I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas yesterday with friends and family I ideally need my second remote programming so I don't have to think I will leave the key in the car and lose it. Can anyone recommend (or can anyone provide) a service for key coding for my Fabia Elegance. I'm either around Shrewsbury or Ely/Cambridge, so if you live in close proximity to either of those, or somewhere in between. Would be grateful as have been quoted £75 just for the key coding itself, so I was wondering whether anyone knows if it can be done cheaper or if any of you have the skills and equipment Cheers
  2. Found this on the site, so maybe it can help Frugalforager. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/79280-help-with-fuel-filler-flap-on-estate/ However, I removed the whole thing, and there isn't a spring and I couldn't for the life of me work out how it was supposed to work, as all I could see was the ball at the end of the metal wire. And the Return, both completely separate. Any help would be appreciated
  3. Hello. I've read about the forums to find about the issues with VAG and getting security codes to allow the transponders in the remote key fobs to be programmed. However I was wondering what the going rate was to code a key. I've got the button remote with a new key cut, but I need the transponder to be sorted so my second key can work properly. The car I bought was only supplied with the one key and I'd always prefer 2 for peace of mind. Let me know your thoughts or recommendations. I'm in Ely/Cambridgeshire, but will be making my way up to Shropshire for Christmas, so if anyone has any recommendations on places to go or the sort of prices i should pay it'd be much appreciated. Cheers
  4. Hello. A Bump from me. The problem is happening to me on my estate too. Haven't tried taking the side panels off, but has anyone had any luck fixing the problem on an estate? Cheers.
  5. Thanks guys. Just paid the subscription as no doubt I will be using it a fair amount these next few weeks! Cheers
  6. Hello, I'm looking forward to using the forums and also hoping to give something back too. I've been a member of http://www.volvo-480-europe.org/forum/index.php as I've had a Volvo 480 as my first car and it really is a wonderful car I hold dearly to my heart, however I have to get a car that can cope with a bit more distance and is slightly more economical for my work in Germany. So I bought a Skoda Fabia Estate! It's a 2001 (51) 1.9TDi, 118,000 miles on the clock, despite a dent on the o/s/r passenger door, I'm looking forward to driving it and using it daily. I will be based in Germany for the next 3 years so I needed something that I could convert to european headlights etc. as well as getting me to Germany and back as often as I please, and I am hoping that the estate will help me bring back a few crates of the Dutch and German golden liquid. One of the first things I need to do is use the gutter-sealant around the back doors as I noticed a little leak/dampness but other than that I am hoping for some good motoring ahead, and with the support and wealth of knowledge I have already found on these forums I thought I better join. I hope you all aren't too busy in the run-up to Christmas as I know I will no doubt have a few questions to ask. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and festive break. Regards
