Clueless

Thank you mbames. Just found the thread you posted in... seems a common occurrence and like most my seat still appears to work just fine so if my part 2 is broken then I'll leave as is.

Thanks andy68. Any idea where it fits? Although glad to hear it's nothing major I wouldn't mind putting the pesky blighter back where it belongs!

Hello everyone, Discovered this in my driver's footwell on the way home from work this evening and I'm wondering where it came from. After having a good rummage around and a look through the Haynes manual I am none the wiser. To be exact I found it with my right foot on the mat under the accelerator pedal. I'm thinking it may be from one of the pedals or perhaps from the seat (could have rolled forward under braking)? Also, the car was in the garage last week having a wheel bearing changed so could it be something a mechanic left lying there by mistake? It looks like new; no scratches or anything. Car is an '02 RS. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
