  1. Hi, Where are you based and how much would you want if I was to collect? Cheers
  2. Could be completely unrelated but I've experienced a low rumbling noise at low rpm when maneuvering in car parks etc. Turns out it was the gear linkage cables vibrating against a heat shield that covers the flexi section of exhaust, because of where the heat sheild is mounted it amplifies the sound. It's easy to get to if this is the case and a cable tie around the cables has managed to cure mine for now, the heatshield mounts have failed though and occasionally sags down causing the vibration sound to come back. It is located at the back of the engine bay where the exhaust goes under the bulk head, the cables are insulated in something that resembles aluminium foil.
  3. On the M11 heading towards Players 2013. Shame about the Fiesta ST door in the corner...
  4. How much oil did you manage to get in before realising? Surely overtime this could congeal and cause flow issues in the rad/ heater matrix. Might be worth flushing the cooling system if there was a lot. Ryan
  5. Thanks for the reply dude! Yeah, I've figured raising it may be the only option for now until I can find out what has shifted, bent or worn out to cause the issue. Going to order some powerflex front ARB bushes too so I can begin eliminating possible causes. Went out for a quick spin after raising the front 20mm and could not re-create the noise even though the bar is still pretty damn close! Side note: It feels like a completely different car with the front raised, tempted to say much nicer to drive and no where near as much understeer... Going to bin off the JOM's when funds allow and buy Eibach springs + dampers.
  6. So it seems everyone has tried to answer questions on this issue too may times to care now... I've raised the suspension by 20mm to try and increase the gap between the ARB and the drive shaft. it seems that it has had no effect and the ARB is now almost touching the rearside of the drive shaft...
  7. This post may look long but I just tried to make it as detailed as possible. Please take some time to read it and respond, I'll be very grateful. Just after a bit of advice from people in the know. Basically, my car is lowered on JOM coilovers and has been since April. On Saturday I was driving home and as I approached a roundabout I was slowing down from around 50mph and changed into 3rd, as I did this I heard an horrendous metal on metal grinding noise coming from the front driver side of the car. When I had accelerated back up to speed off the roundabout I braked again and dropped into 3rd to try and repeat the noise and it was just he same. When I got home I jacked the car up to look for the issue but could not find anything wrong. On the way home today the car was making the noise more and more, almost every left turn at any speed above 40mph + any braking. Jacked the car up again and noticed that the ARB had a shiney ring all the way around it to match a wear mark on the bottom of the ARB. Just to be sure I coloured part of the ring with permanent pen, went for a spin until it made the noise, went home and checked and the pen mark had been ground away confirming that is the issue. What I don't understand is, the car has not changed height since April and still hasn't altered, I have shortened drop links and I also fitted Cupra bushes in May. Possible causes: ARB Bushes? Bent Wishbone? Bent ARB? Any help on what else could have changed would be brilliant.

  9. Yup! The covers fitted straight back on, my kit came with 2 inch diameter rubber grommets to push into the back of the cover, but a round shape doesn't fit in a square shape easily... I just used the dipped beam bulbs from my standard headlights for my mains I keep meaning to take photos of it all and post on here! When I do i'll link you up Also, DanHam, followed you on Instagram earlier "kelbryrmk"
  10. Depending how low you plan on going you may need shortened drop links too. Although, if it's just a 25mm drop from the Eibachs you should be fine leaving the standard ones in. Your basket contents are all you should need parts wise
  11. A week on Sunday is GTi Festival at Santapod! I'll be there in the Show + Shine no doubt I'd definitely be up for a meet at some point.
  12. I have fired them an e-mail to see what they can do about it. I'm hoping that I wont need to send the bulb away for inspection, I'm reluctant to carry on driving with just one headlight! I included some pretty detailed pictures and sent them on the e-mail too so fingers crossed they just send a replacement. The bulb itself still illuminates, it just can't be held in the holder :(
  13. Fitted my headlights on Sunday without any trouble, easy swap. On the way home tonight the passenger side headlight started flickering, when I got home I removed the back cover + bulb to find the plastic base of the bulb has snapped. I bought the kit from HIDS-Direct as recommended on this thread and was expecting something a bit better quality after spending £60 instead of £30 like most of my friends have... When the box first arrived it had the 5000k option ticked on the side, I ordered 4300k so this instantly put doubt in my mind. When I opened the box the correct 4300k bulbs were in there? Bit odd. I commute 40 miles a day, mainly in the dark. I'm going to Nottingham Wednesday evening and that's a good hour drive away. Not looking forward to doing it all on 1 dipped beam... :( Also, anyone find the quality of the bulb holder a bit rubbish? I'm not overly impressed with the plastic ring that holds the (broken) bulb in place.
  14. Where these be from if collected?
  15. I got some 20mm tall adapters made to fit underneath the rear adjusters to raise them up... Even with the adjust at full heeght it was too low for my taste. I don't find it bouncy at all and now it's sits just right
  16. Just clearing up any doubt, the ones I ordered off eBay are definitely DEPO. Well worth the extra £25 I paid instead of sticking to the group buy purely because I received them already! Will get them fitted on Sunday and upload pictures then
  17. A rolling shot of mine (and me) on the way to Players 2013 a couple of weeks ago
  18. The ones I ordered off eBay arrived Monday, unfortunately I wasn't home so they are back at the depot now awaiting re-delivery tomorrow.

  21. They are due to be delivered next Tuesday so I will come back and update when I've received them. I also ordered a D2s kit from hids-direct and used the discount code REPEAT to get 10% off (thanks joelk2010 for providing this) RKelby
  22. I didn't end up ringing because I wasn't on the original list and thought it wouldn't be fair on the guys who got here first. I guess they didn't even honor those first 10? I ordered the following last night so I will see what they are like when they arrive! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-1999-2006-DRIVER-SIDE-RIGHT-BLACK-HEADLIGHT-HEADLAMP-/170931671275?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFabia&hash=item27cc5250eb http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-1999-2006-PASSENGER-SIDE-LEFT-BLACK-HEADLIGHT-HEADLAMP-/181090165720?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a29d0a3d8
