Hope you are all doing well, used to be a member here many moons ago, had a few problems with my Fabia Vrs (blew my turbo, and it never ran right again) so lost interest, sold the car, and lost touch with all you lovely people. I have been looking at all sorts of cars recently, and keep looking back at Skoda’s, so thought I would come back, say hello to you all again, and maybe get back into the wonderful world of Skoda ownership! My daughter also turns 17 next week and been looking at Fabia’s and Citigo’s for her, so may even get two Skodas in the house. Thanks. Chris

How come it says its for a MK4 Golf, but the compatability thing at the bottom of ebay is all for MK5 Golfs???

If it doesn't fit, make it! I got a lot bigger battery on my car (Believe its from a porsche) and I made it fit, by trimming the sides of the battery box. To look at, you cant tell its been modified, other than the battery is nearly double the size! Chris

Hoping someone can help me, as I am struggling to install VCDS onto my new (new to me) Laptop. I have got a genuine VCDS Lead, and tried to download the software from Ross Tech's Website (Version 12.12), and seems to install just fine, untill it attempts to install the USB drivers. Laptop is a Packard Bell Easynote TJ65 running Window's Vista, All genuine, and everything else seems to work fine in the USB ports. I am no computer genius, but know enough to get me by (Normally), but I am stumped with this one. Please someone help me. Chris

Have you got the boost pipe which comes directly out of the bottom of the turbo? or is that the one you have sold? Should be a "S" Shape! Cheers!

Anything can fit, you just have to make it!!! But in reality! Cant see why they wouldn't fit!!!

My car cut out on Sunday, and after checking every thing I could think it could be, I took off a intercooler pipe to get to a bolt, and it fired up with it off! It runs rough and doesn't seem to have rev up! Anyone got any ideas! Cos I am completely stumped now!!! When I put the pipe back into the top of the turbo, it will not start!

It hasn't read F4B VR for a while, it is now F4 BVR (Until I next go to a show, and put my show plates back on) It may be coming up for sale soon, as the car might be going soon!

Got to stick up for awesome here! I got my car remapped earlier this year, Had one little slight problem with the car a couple of months after, spoke to them at a car show, and they crawled under my car to see what the fault could be! I have the Awesome's own map, not the Revo! The peak does not seem as bad, so it is a nice smooth graph! I know a lot of people who have the Revo maps, and it seems to get slightly more power, but IMO its to much of a peak. The lads at awesome have been nothing but helpful, I have recommended them to loads of people, who have had nothing but good experiences. I know from time to time people have bad experiences with loads of companies, but IMO awesome always bend over backwards to help there customers.

Depends on the wheels I guess. As my porsche wheels sit JUST inside the arch on the rear, and they are only 7.5 on the front, and its drives like a dream. Try finding someone with similar wheels, and giving them a trial fit! People will always have horror stories about everything, Jump in at the deep end and enjoy mate is my opinion!!!!!!

TPS do Lithiuum Grease, and it's £3.08+VAT for a 500g tub! Hope this helps!

I am running 8 1/2's on the rear of mine, they are porsche wheels with a very high ET. What is the ET of the BBS's? I am running 20mm adaptors, and it seems to run really nice! Nice bit of poke, but had to have a stretch on the tyre (205/45/17's) And had no issue with rubbing, and mine is LOW! Wheels just sit in the arch!

Which lambo rims do you want to see on a Octy? As far as I know, there are more than one set of Lambo rims in circulation. Plus you would need two set of fronts, as the rears will be far too wide to go on a Octy!

No you would not be turned away, and to be fair, there is a extra 10% off the service parts till the end of the month. Most garages cant believe that TPS can supply genuine filters cheaper than most Factors can.

Speak to your local TPS site, they will do you the recommended 5w30 LL3 oil for £26.80 plus VAT. It is blended by Castrol, and it is the exact same oil they use in dealerships.
