  1. A quick update I did end up going for the Monte Carlo in Quartz grey, so happy I did what a lovely little car! Much nippier than I was expecting, particularly enjoying the pano sun roof! Thanks for the reply’s guys!
  2. Hi guys Would I been mad to change from my remapped vRS (stage 1) to the mk III monte carlo (1.2tsi 110 manual) I test drove one and didnt completely give it the full beans and it was fairly nippy and quite fun. It was pretty quiet and comfortable and equally the handling round corners was quite tight. Would it benefit from a remap to around what the standard mk1 vrs would have been as standard or waste of time? Its ticking a fair few boxes but I am still worried its going to feel very underpowered to mine and after about 9 years of ownership i'm very attached to the (bright yellow ha!) beast! Please help, thanks!

  4. I've had this problem recently, I read on here somewhere that heat shrinking over the joints is a good solution. I will be giving that a go this week, fingers crossed!
  5. I'm only on 140,000. New clutch at around 100,000. Turbo has just had to be replaced. Out of interest for you guys with the high mileage, have you had to replace many parts, apart from timing belts?
  6. Brilliant thanks for that info very helpful! If you could dig out the receipt that would help actually yes thanks!
  7. Hey joncc sorry for hi jacking thread - I'm also interested in having this done and am also in Maidstone. Did you go to the main dealer in Maidstone to get this done? So you say it cost you £120, how log ago was this? Thanks!
  8. I got the AP shocks and springs on mine from Damian. Top bloke! They are awesome for the money, I didn't want a stupid drop and uncomfortable ride as its my daily driver. These are perfect, still comfortable and teamed up with the Whiteline RARB handling is brilliant!
  9. These arrived today! Looking forward to getting them on next week.
  10. Thanks BossFox! I prefer it over the black, I think this looks sleeker. Haha no way! Thats mental all hail the PF05's!
  11. Recently sprayed the grill and badge and put on one of Pastyboy's badges on. I'm happy with how the front end is looking now! Looking forward to getting the AP kit on soon!
  12. Awesome stuff mate you must be over the moon! Give us a more in depth account after you've given her a welcome home drive/detail
