  1. Feel your pain, recently purchased my mk1 vrs with 98k on the clock with a failed headgasket. granted it was £400 however on removal of the head ive found quite abit of play in the valves between 0.5 and 1mm side to side :( going to have the head skimmed, valves re ground and the seats re cut and have the stem guides and seals replaced at the same time just to be 100% on the rebuild are you doing the job yourself or getting a garage to do the re build ?
  2. Is this still for sale buddy ?
  3. I will do but I was hoping someone would have the part number
  4. Evening guys, does anyone happen to know where I can get hold of the pinch bolt that secures the ball joints on the top arms for a 2005 superb ? Or a part number I can search ? Cheers in advance Steve
  5. I'd almost try this first before buying anymore door cards, it's got to be worth a shot
  6. Yes in my opinion they are ... Much better stopping distance and the feel of the pedal is much better. Also the brembo disks are coated in some form of enamel so no rusty bits just shiney metal and grey. Overall I think there much better, I shall be ordering a set for all round on my mk1 superb superb shortly
  7. When I did my front disks and pads I used brembo sounds expensive but for the difference in price it's worth the extra braking power For genuine disks and pads from eBay it was £105 delivered Hope this helps
  8. I'm a muppet lol ! I'm very tempted by this hmm Here's my spiders not far from mint no kerbing the tyres are all matching maxxis pro r1s fronts with 4mm rears are about 6mm However I'm in Nottingham possible meet half way ? Cheers
  9. I have a golf 5 door one I've had in the shed for a year I must get round to fitting it lol
  10. What about drilling straight through the two skins one size that holds the bolt then a grommet and oversize hole for the bolt head to go Through it will look oem+ without the bodge !
  11. That's my best as of yet however I do have these moments on private roads this is average speed over 60 ish miles
