  1. Devon, jeez that is shocking wear and very surprising. Mine have done around 8-10k miles and still plenty of life left.
  2. I have these, but on a Z4. Can't fault them, wet or dry. Good feed back, good wear and very good grip including a dozen or so Ring laps and a Nurburgring GP circuit session. No complaints! I'll be sticking with them come replacement time.
  3. I miss my Saab, it really was a great car.
  4. Mmmmm, my brother had a vectra for one of the years I had the Saab, not similar to drive at all, controls in the main are different and placed differently, except indicator/wiper stalks. Chalk and cheese my friend, chalk and cheese. Car bandwagons exist to make people feel better about there own cars...........
  5. Then inmo the Saab is much better, no contest. And having owned both that's based on experience not just hearsay. I have a Z4 now and tbh as an every day car, the Saab was better. In hindsight I would have stretched to the Aero, which has 210bhp and better more sporty suspension. BTW, both the 1.8 and 2.0 are actually 2.0, but in different states of tune, 150 & 175 bhp, both with numerous tuning options.
  6. Oh and dual climate, air con and a top class music set up including CD changer. The Vectra comments are in the main, just people jumping on the bandwagon, vectras and 9-3's are chalk and cheese.
  7. I had a 2.0 petrol 54 plate 9-3 convertible for three years, loved it! Very luxurious, very comfortable, very smooth, plenty quick enough and was absolutely faultless for the 50k miles I did in in. Plenty of gadgets and gizmos, sat nav, brilliant headlights, heated seats, cruise, multi function steering wheel, aux iPod connection etc. If you're after a classy drive in supreme comfort, Saab all the way. Octavia VRS, a Bora underneath, is a better drivers car, as it's power is delivered better and it feels more planted.
  8. Next race ....... First man home with a number 46 or with the initials VR.
  9. BSB support races beckon Mr VR.
  10. Oops, Rossi mid pack fodder yet again.
  11. Moley Oh, I erm, see now and am now convinced that Rossi isn't finished, because he won a title more recently than Stoner. Thanks for making that clear. Lance
  12. To respond with a dig at Stoner makes no difference to me, plus I have not nor ever disputed what Rossi has achieved in the past, only that that is where it is, in the past. My comment regarding Rossi is at the now and future, and still you give nothing to convince me otherwise, only the predictable and usual what he has done.
  13. Still seeing nothing to suggest I'm wrong? I said Rossi is a has been and now mid pack fodder and got flamed for it. We are now 7 or 8 races in and Rossi is battling with Barbera and Bautista for scraps. A distant 6th on home ground, tut tut tut, the humiliation is complete...... Oh, and funny to see.
