  1. I've got a long drive today, so will check it afterwards; I don't want to disturb anything that won't go back on. Thanks for the ideas, I've not used kits like that before.
  2. The pin on mine was too thick for both types to fit on to. Mine clip on, not slide on. If you look at the pin, it has a cap on the end, which stops anything sliding on or off. To clarify. The pic I posted is of my wiper and it's a clip on, not a slide on. The 2 listed wipers are different fitments.
  3. Yeah I've removed it already when I went to fit the new blades. They slid on from the side, this clips in.
  4. It's for a 2012 vrs blackline estate. I've tried Bosch am980s and a937s and neither fit. This is my fitting, which looks like one I've seen on a MK4 golf! Any help appreciated.
  5. Whats the average wage in Sweden though? It's all relative. I think the battery I fitted was around £90-95 when I bought it a year ago. Car is starting very quickly now with it. Think I've found the drain that caused my flat battery; my dash cam is staying on. It's plugged into the front cigarette lighter. I'm sure this used to power down relatively, but for some reason, isn't.
  6. I don't expect it to last any longer, just start the car more reliably; especially in cold weather. I generally do short journeys and my car is sometimes not started for a few days,. I do use a ctek charger but returned from a weekend away to a flat battery, so fitted one i'd bought for a previous car which used to do the same(until I fitted this bigger battery).
  7. If you have 2 batteries, one has 800ah and one has 400ah, they should both take the same amount of charging to top them off in ordinary use, as the car isn't going to draw any more than it needs. If you totally discharge both batteries, then the higher capacity one will take longer to charge, but to get to that state, would have carried on working beyond where the lower capacity one would have given up anyway. In my experience, bigger batteries have also cranked the engine more reliably. So to me, bigger is better. Or am I missing something?
  8. Thread necromancy, but it's possible to fit an f18 varta battery that's 315mm long. Only basic DIY on the tray required.
  9. I bought mine(blackline estate) recently and it came with budget landsail tyres on it. They were brand new but I wasn't impressed, so swapped them for Michelin ps4's, which worked out around £390 fitted for all 4. Bought from blackcircles and fitted locally. These are much better in all conditions, especially the wet.
