  1. If it's on variable servicing then the next service is due in up to 2 years or 20k so the 2012 will be correct!
  2. .........Which is why we do everything possible to discourage customers paying for cars with cash. And back the hell off, I think you'll find I said 'the company I work for" not "my company". Is it not possible that someone could be attacked when going to the bank with a few cheques too, or do muggers ask if you've got cash first?.....
  3. At the dealership I work at, large sums of cash must be taken to the bank by 3 members of staff (to keep our insurance company satisfied). This is a pain in the neck and means 2 extra people are not doing the jobs they are paid to do. I think it's a bit harsh that the dealer wants to charge you, but I sympathise with them all the same.
  4. Dealer here, I've just been contacted by SUK customer care to confirm that the mirrors will not be electrically folding and was also informed of the £250 (although I was told it was to be spent on accessories or servicing). I was then also contacted by SUK Retailer Support who told me the same thing. Now can you all get on to SUK and tell them you want the Fabia vRS in Anthracite Grey with black roof and black wheels please! (please don't take me literally on this!)
  5. Just check the chassis number, 8th digit form the end; A = 2010 B = 2011
  6. The trouble is that the factory prioritise building sold cars and cars tagged as stock have even longer lead times than normal. Also, once a car leaves the factory and it is tagged as stock any other dealer can just take it for a customer (but not for stock) order.
  7. We've had wheels painted before, normally for the kids who buy the SEATs though. I think they'd be better powder coated, I've a few companies who've given me their details so might give one a try. I'll hopefully have mine before you so I'll be the guinea pig if you like. I've also found a vinyl wrap company who will do the roof for £190 which is cheaper than painting it and I can always take it off when we sell it.
  8. Think I might do the wheels on my next one, might get the roof wrapped too. What ya think?
  9. Quoted directly from the inside back page of a Yeti brochure. HHC: Hill hold control allows for a safe hill start by holding the brake for a small amount of time, reducing the risk of unintentional reversing or roll back. It would be useful if this info was in the Superb and Octavia brochure too, but your dealer should know this anyway. Hope this helps

  11. It'll have the lamps and bulbs next to the fog lights, but they won't be activated, still not sure how to get them working tho'
  12. 2 points 1. You do not have an automatic car, as has been stated previously, you have a DSG, so don't expect it to do what your old automatic car did. That didn't have hil hold either, just a torque converter. 2. Use the HSA as it is designed to be used, for very short stops. If you're stopping on a hill for longer, treat your car as a manual, apply the hand brake and select neutral. Then use the HSA when you're ready to set off again.
  13. Hobin in Salford have a DSG 140 CR Elegance in the showroom, it's been there for about 4 weeks, it was one of the first ones off theproduction line. It's not being registered until September, but you're more than welcome to drive it before hand on trade plates.
  14. It will cost you £155 to put it on retention, this includes the assignment fee to put it back on another car within 36 months. Full details here
