  1. Thanks mate. BTW your Octy looks sick
  2. To do the part of the headlight you have to use a brush right?
  3. Awesome, this is exactly what I am after. Thanks for the pictures mate, I read it should sit in the over for about 5 minutes on lowest temp possible. It's only the front bazel, I want to do part of headlight like @dsmithmobile did. Thanks anyways.
  4. So you can spray everything apart from those red parts? So I should remove all the rubbers, screws, basically everything I can. How about height adjustment motor for instance?
  5. Thanks, i guess my research skills are not great. I mean spray the chrome inside, not the actual lens. But which parts can be sprayed, and which better left alone?
  6. Any idea of how long and what temperatures? Lamin-x isn't exactly cheap. And only one seller on ebay supplies them.
  7. I personally haven't done it, I've seen people on here spraying the part of inside of a headlight to make them darker, that's why I asked what's what.
  8. As far as I know, if light output isn't reduced MOT will be fine. I've seen several Octy's on here with tinted headlights and they seem to be alright. Lamin-x makes them look all hazy sort of thing, while if you spray them they stay clear if you know what I mean.
  9. Hi guys. I was looking for info in this, but nothing came up. My dad's thinking of opening headlights up and spray the inside black. But which is the best way of opening it up? I assume heat gun and loads of patience. Also, which bits can be sprayed and which bits can't? Thanks
  10. Might be a bit far for you, but I have just dropped my wheels off at Bradford (CAS coatings). They do powder coating for £1+VAT per inch (plain colors, i.e. white and black), I am doing mine at £1.50+vat per inch in gunmetal grey, so worked out at £130 for a set of 18". http://www.cascoatings.com/
  11. Nothing works better than newspaper for me. Tried all sort of "glass cloth" stuff nothing beats newspaper.
  12. Hi. I have, if you have good pressure coming from your hose, it will do the job. Pressure in my house isn't great, so it won't work properly. P.S. I use it as a normal shampoo, as it's better IMO than anything else.
  13. Hi guys. I need new window regulator, but does it matter on whether you have comfort feature or not? Or it is just motor that changes? Cheers
  14. Can I run 2 speakers (120wrms @ 4ohm) and a sub (350wrms @ 4ohm) off 2 channel amp?
  15. Thanks for this mate. Quick look round, and it seems to be quite good. Will take one http://www.detailing...ad.php?t=213289
  16. Thanks mate. When I will get ready for this big job, I will put a list with bits I will use for profs to judge I work at IKEA, so they will be ok with it
  17. You mean this?; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_804743_langId_-1_categoryId_165527
  18. Looks great. Don't know when I will get round mine, hope I will sort mine out and it will look as it should. Roof is a bit faded, polishing compound should sort it shouldn't it?
  19. Thanks for this mate. Will have a look at products you mentioned. Is it OK if I do washing at home (roadside) and then I have IKEA 10 minutes away, and do polishing there, there is a nice place where no cars are driving?
  20. Can you break it down what each stage includes? I assume wash includes claying etc.?
  21. You prefer hand polishing because of the results you get?
  22. Well as you said, most people don't see swirls, even I don't tbh. I use two buckets and microfibre sponge. I guess I can't get colour to be as new when car is 19 years old. I would assume if I do everything properly it should be good enough shouldn't it? I have looked at some videos online, and results are quite good actually.
  23. we have these back in Latvia (small country in eastern Europe). They are brilliant. front one will go bad after some time but rear will look like new for years.
