    New yeti

I notice you are based In Essex, I bought my Yeti last year from Underwoods in Colchester who nearly matched a drive the deal quote, I guess I saved about 10% on the list price.
  2. As far as I know they are only made in silver.
  3. They are the S45 bars. The Whispbar website talks about a K468 mount to go with them but I do not have these mounts and am not sure what their purpose would be. The S45 bars on their own fit very securely and can be easily fitted and removed.
  4. Fitted a pair of Whispbar roofbars that came (relatively) cheaply from ebay and like the low flush fitting. The silver colour blends in well with the steel grey body colour.
  5. It will be interesting to see how Skoda fares in the future in this sort of poll. I remember about 15 years ago Subaru was enjoying a similar sort of popularity with its Outback, Legacy and Impreza models, only to throw it all away with crass styling changes which ruined the appeal of the cars for me and judging by the resultant sales figures many other people as well. The Subaru Outback I had back then together with my current Yeti are the two favourite cars that I have owned.
  6. Thank you for that reassuring information!
  7. I take delivery of my new Yeti in a couple of weeks and then head off for France via eurotunnel. My wife has reminded me that at the Folkstone eurotunnel complex there is a low horizontal bar you have to drive under before loading onto the train that determines if you are a high vehicle or not. Even when driving under it in our present Peugeot 406 estate the bar looks perilously low. Will a Yeti, with just the standard roof rails and without a roof rack, be able to pass under this bar?
  8. In spite of my reservations I have gone ahead and ordered one! The wait begins.......
  9. Thanks for the replies and the link. It would appear then that the Yeti 1.2 105PS does indeed have a dual mass flywheel, much to my disappointment. My next question then is does it have the same problems that diesel cars fitted with dual mass flywheels have? Maybe petrol engined Yetis have not been around for long enough for the problems to have started yet.
  10. Hi, Just joined the forum although not yet a Yeti owner. Thinking of buying a Yeti 1.2 TSI 105PS after very impressive test drive yesterday. My only reservation is whether it has a dual mass flywheel clutch with all the associated problems, googling for the information has not come up with a definite answer. Can anyone here please answer the question? Regards Ray
