  1. Just an update in case anyone has the same problem, the actuator has been replaced by Hadwins VW for about £330, and this seems to have solved the problem. Thank you for your input.
  2. Definitely worth testing the actuator with VCDS but can you tell me how to do that, Thanks
  3. OK Thanks. Could my problem also be due to a sticking/faulty actuator?
  4. thanks for the reply but I think its a KKK turbo not a VNT turbo. Does the KKK work the same way as a VNT?
  5. Having just replaced the N75 valve, I am still having problems with my cars acceleration. The turbo seems to kick in much later than usual, approximately 3000-3500 rpm. It has gone into 'limp' mode a couple of times recently. The car is a 2010 Octavia VRS TDi FL estate. Mileage is 73k, and I believe it is a KKK turbo. Using 'Measuring Blocks' in VCDS I have logged groups 10 and 11, and this shows Actual Boost lower than the Specified Boost at a lower RPM (up to 3000), but the Actual Boost and Specified Boost appear to be very similar nearer 4000rpm. I have done a visual inspection of the hoses, and there does not appear to be any leaks or split hoses. Does anyone have any similar experiences to this? Any suggestions what to check next would be much appreciated. Below is a copy of the VCDS scan. 6. http://www.fredwhittonchallenge.org.uk/route.php Plan the route carefully, 1700 people doing this route on bikes on the Sunday
  7. I have done a search with no definitive answer.... Using VCDS, can you activate Tourist Mode? The car is a 2010 Octavia VRS TDI with factory fitted Xenons, but no Maxidot. Thanks
  8. Hadwins have serviced my Octy twice now, no complaints at all. Appear to have the best service prices in the region too. Georgia on the service desk was very friendly and helpful. I certainly will be using Hadwins next time!
  9. Thanks very much - i'll have a look at the links! That Facebook page made me laugh!
  10. Hi - as the title says, it's for my girlfriends golf which has a dent in it but no damage to the paint. I have done a search and have not found any information on this in the Leeds area. Thanks
  11. Hello, a quick question for all of the petrol vrs owners out there. How accurate are the fuel consumption figures given by Skoda? Are these figures easily achieved? I have recently graduated, and I am workin away from home, and would like to treat myself to a new car. I have had a test drive of the Octy vrs and would really like one, however I have been driving my dads diesel audi for the last 6 months, and I like not having to go to the pumps that often! I would consider the diesel vrs, but i think that will be stretching my budget! I am also considering the Furby vrs - I have driven this car, and liked this car as well! On the money side of things, I am in favour of buying this car! However, if money was no object, I'd personally go for the Octy vrs, but I'd like to have a rough idea of running costs before i commit! I can't decide! Help!! Any advice ladies and gentlemen? Thanks Joe
