i always calculate actual mpg to compare with the computer and its only a maximum of 2mpg out on 04 vrs.

45mpg if I stick the cruise on at 70 65 is its an average speed check of 50

Got them in mine, i couldnt notice the difference from the originals.

thanks guys, i managed to get 52mpg on a 150 mile trip. so not too bad really! can getting a remap actually increase mpg??

Hello, Almost a month of owning my fabia vrs now, really enjoying the car. But ive seen threads on people achieveing 50-60mpg on a long drive. Im assuming this means they are going 70mph on the motorway. when im doing 70 in the fabia the best and very best mpg i can achieve is 44, is this normal, as it is well below the claimed 53 combined! regards.

Thanks guys all sorted now, the ground was to a bolt behind the taillight, as you do in the fabia, but it just wasn't making contact with raw metal, sandpaper solved this problem!

Thanks andrew, but no success - here is some more information: When everything is connected up EXCEPT the remote from stereo to amp the +12v to ground reads 11volts When the remote is conneted up the reading falls to 4.8v so the sub is not getting the minimum 10v required to power up, ive tried different remotes but that results in the same reading What do?!

Hello, recently got a vibe active sub which i installed in my fabia, ive got to the point where the leds on the sub light up, but it produces no noise at all, ive checked all the connections but no joy anyone have any ideas? thanks

Sound thanks for your help. On another note I've been averaging 46 mpg, which is lower than I'm hoping for. I've been going steady and only poking it occasionally as its hard to resist. Does cruise control have a positive or negative effect on mpg, should I use premium diesel and is cold weather taking my mpg a bit lower?

Cheers guys, yeah I dont care if it's not the exact colour - I doubt people will comment that the green used isn't the same stuff that's used in the factory, if you could link me to some stuff to get an idea that would be super!

Hey everyone, Having previously owned a golf mk4 1.4 I arrived at the time where I wanted a diesel. Looking around I liked the idea of the fabia vrs, so bought one. Very impressed with the car so far. Of course it's missing a few little things I took for granted on the golf, but the pull in 2nd gear alone makes up for this! A few things in my too do list are giving the cals a lick of green (any paint recommendations?) and anyone know of a good stereo with green illumination to match the dash? Potentially Cupra r splitter too. Thanks!
