  1. I have upgraded the audio system in my Superb (well the auto electrician did it down in Melbourne) and now that I have driven back to Canberra I have notice a squeaking sound (super annoying) coming from the center console when going our bumps . Does anyone here have diagrams (photos would be great) or any other information on how to removal the center console. If so can you please post them to the site and I will give it a go.
  2. Had my tyres recently replaced with Yokohama Advan db. Didn't make a huge difference (just lot a little bit of grip ). At first I am also think of just upgrading the speakers and it is turning out to be a pain. So far I have narrowed the options down to Jlaudio C5-653 for the front as these are three ways and C5-650 for the rears. Now the problem is 1) They don't sell them downunder in straya (with us being a backward nation etc etc) 2) The mid-range driver on the C5-653 is a 4" while the factory mid-range is a 3" and there really is not a lot of space in there to mount it. Was previously looking at focals but a good friend warned me against them. Can't think of any other set of speakers that would match these at the given prices point. Any suggestions?
  3. Yes I actually have a pair of M4U PS2, but I keep them at work can't carry them around
  4. Hi guys, I am about to do a full audio system upgrade on my Superb II which came with "Premium Sound". Story so far.... When the car is parked, the audio system sounds decent (not good). The bass (not mid bass) is lacking though. I have owned a ford falcon with a standard audio setup (6 speakers) which sounded better than this. However when the car is moving or stupid noisy Australian roads, the road noise kills everything. I have had a shot at reducing the road noise but with little or no result. I applied dynamat to the wheels arches and filled it with a layer of nylon. I also filled the hollow cavities over the wheel arches with expanding foam. This all had little of no result :(. Then I got a sub installed (pioneer wx710a) which didn't help either. It is way too boom than punchy and I prefer punchy. After throwing good money down the drain, I have come to the conclusion that the only way to make it sound better is to throw more power to the speakers and get better speakers. To this effect I am going to replace all the 10 speakers with after market (jlaudio post probably) speakers. The problem is I don't know how. After having done some research I have figured out that my head unit (RNS510) can give line level out and because it is connected to an external amp (being premium sound) it is already doing that (so no need to go into VCDS, which I know nothing about). Now the big questions, a) Can I just simply screw out my existing amp and connect my headunit to a new amp (I am assuming their is power coming to the existing amp so I basically use that to power my new amp and the signal is coming to the amp as well so just use those wire)? Another thing I have noticed is the line out from RCA is only 8 channel and that the amp does the split to 10 channel, is this really the case? Has anyone ever removed the front door card, if so can some one point me to the right direct (photos would be much appreciated). c) The set of speakers I am planning to put has a 4" mid range while my car comes with a 3" mid range, is there enough space to install a 4" mid range in the cavity.
  5. Hi everyone, Just bought my first Skoda (Superb) and now am trying to change the parking (sidelights) lights in the front with LEDs. Got the Philips Ultinon ones but now can't change them since I don't know how to. Tried to pull it out no luck. Short of breaking it I don't know what to do. Any ideas???
