How much can you stretch a tyre then? I am just about to change the Pirelli’s, which were crap, at 19k miles. Thinking about Michelin PS4's which I have on my Cayman and love. Should I go 245/40/19 instead of the manufacturer'ss default of 235/40/19

Can you link to black ones please. I have found matt black but not gloss. Plain gloss black would look great with the wheels I have.

Anybody else had their Wheel Center Caps wear? My car is only 13 months old. Cleaned it today and notice all 4 are pealing around the edges. I know I can buy new ones of Super Skoda, but that is hardly the point. Anybody else had theirs peel after such a short period of time? Should I try and claim under my warranty with the dealer?

I will be booking my 280 in for first year service this week. What should a dealership carry on first year service on a 280? Also how much should I expect it to cost. I assume an oil change, what else should they carry out? Is there anything I should insist they check or look at. Car has done 8k miles. Thanks

Yes had it coated. Have also learnt a lot about cleaning cars from YouTube and blogs online. I am addicted to cleaning it, but I want to learn more about detailing. I would like to polish the wife's car which is not paint protected. Even tempted to buy a machine polisher and strategic to learn. Is it with picking up and old panel from a car scrap yard to practice on?

I got mine in Dragon Green because I did not want another grey car. In the flesh Dragon Green is an amazing colour.

Thanks for the nice comments @Danny77 my kids love the car too. Only difference is I did not need to persuade the wife, she encouraged me to buy it! @superbtte is the fastest Superb, but I do think mine is better looking (but I am biased)

Just fitted my XLR, the same as @philpix A huge improvement. The car is now how it should have been when it left the factory. I mounted it the same as Phil but I am sure I will move it as I don't like it in that box. Just need to take a look and work out where to route the cable. One question, the light stays on when the ignition is off. I have asked Phil if his does the same as only person I know with an XLR, but does the older Throttle Response also keep the light on, does it not power off when the car is off?

Does anybody know where there are diagrams for how the washer pipes route through the engine bay. I am going to try to fix myself as @Gizmo suggested but looking for a diagram to help. Might be I conceded at go back to the dealer, but a self fit appeals more than trying to find time to pop to the dealer.

I am just looking for somewhere to mount it while I try settings. Once I find one I like I will do the same and store it in the tray on the right. I am also just curious as to what that blanking plate is for.

Anybody know what the blanking plate is for to the right of the steering wheel and left of the lights control? I am considering mounting the XLR dial there, can anybody see an issue with this plan?

@philpix how easy was the XLR to fit?

Would you recommend LV? I just did a quote and they are £300 cheaper then my renewal from Direct Line (£400 instead of £700). I am tempted to take a policy with LV and tell them about the XLR, which I have not ordered yet but so close to clicking buy button, then ring them later in the year if I get a RaceChip. Do you think they would be OK with a mid year change?

I got a paint correction and gtechniq applied. Really pleased with the results. Also had the wheels changed as mentioned and had the back de-badged.

I ordered them as a dealer accessory. They got to the dealer a couple of days before the car. Then the dealer switched the wheels and tyres, and put the original wheels in the boxes from the new wheels and they were in the boot for the day I collected it. If your dealer won't do the same they sound like they don't really value customer service.

I think I might have asked before but can somebody confirm I do not need to tell my insurance company about a throttle response? About to order the XLR but also to days off car insurance renewal. Tempted to move to an insurance company who are more OK about modifications. Any insurance recommendations? I am also considering but might not order the Racechip.
