  1. Thanks for the reply,OK then next question, how do you hide them?
  2. Good morning, I need to delete speed cameras from my Columbus for an upcoming trip to Spain.I can get as far as "speed cameras"in the P.O.I,but I can not find a delete option. I am sure I am being incredibly dense-how hard can it be?Any help would be appreciated. Tony
  3. When you find where your bonnet release catch is "Goat",could you let me know where it is?Rumour has it there are recepticals for oil and washer fluid in there somewhere.I didn't spend all this money on a car just to spend time filling up with oil and water,it's bad enough putting in diesel.
  4. My experience of the Columbus system seems to differ from the complainers. It takes me where I want to go,without fuss, offers me 3 routes to get there, has full 7 digit postcode, dynamic routing works well and I have absolutely no problems with voice recognition.the lady behind the dashboard sometimes stumbles over her instructions, but she is not as bossy as the lady in previous sat navs(Garmin,Tom Tom etc.) Drove to the Costa Blanca last summer, with absolutely no problem from the Columbus.Even when the main motorway south of Perpignan was closed due to forest fires, the unit took us via a cross country route, and back onto our original route further south in much less time than a colleague who was using a top of the range Tom Tom. I am a convert to Skoda from BMW,and I am more than pleased with the change(if that does not get me a decent discount on my next Skoda purchase, nothing will)
  5. Mostly in town short journeys, and no problems to report. I have a '61 Superb Elegance 170cr.
  6. Picking mine up on Saturday-2.0TDI,CR,Elegance, DSG. .Colour is Black Magic Pearl Effect.Am I excited or what?At 69 you would think I was over all that juvenile excitement, but I am just like a child on Xmas Eve.The Black is absolutely awesome-looks like an upmarket undertakers.
  7. Thank you for the information.Reading through the forum I realise that Skoda owners are a helpfull bunch.
  8. Sorry if this question has been asked before,or if I am being more stupid than usual, but do the "adaptive headlights" on the Elegance mean that they do not need adjusting for driving on the European mainland. Thanks to a windfall from mis-sold PPI ,I am about to purchase a new car, almost certainly an Elegance spec Superb estate.I do a lot of European miles, and if no adjustment is necessary this would be a major bonus.
