  1. Thanks for everybody's views/input on this. It seems like a popular topic and no doubt the postings on here may have influenced people's decisions on which way to go regarding lowering. There is some great advice here and obviously people with many motoring miles of experience on the subject. Personally, I'm going to stick with my initial idea of Eibach Pro's and go for the 20mm drop. Ordered from DC Performance this morning so hopefully I'll get them this week and will look to get them fitted during Easter week. I will give more feedback and post another picture of my car on this thread when the job is done. Thanks all. Rick.
  2. OK thanks for the advice, seems like just springs might be a bad idea... So, let's assume I can stretch the budget a bit further and considering my make of car, what options would people recommend please? ie coilovers? or springs and damper combo's? and which one's?
  3. Hello, I am thinking of lowering my VRS: I know this has been covered many times but I'm new to all this - a mate at work who is also on this forum and who has a heavily modded Fabia VRS has recommended these: Eibach 30mm Pro Lowering Suspension Springs http://www.dpmperfor...2ecd4cc8f775c15 I don't want to spend a fortune, ie don't want to go to the expense of new shocks or coilovers. Just wondered if anybody has experience of this product on a VRS estate in particular: - ride quality/stiffness/crashiness/overall satisfaction etc etc At the end of the day it's still got to perform as a family car, with two kids in the back plus a boot full of stuff so I don't want to destroy the handling. Thanks in advance, Rick.
  4. maxi-cosi priori We have two, one for my VRS and one in my wife's Impreza. Good quality and reasonably priced, and they match the interiors nicely! !
  5. I bought the Bluefin for MY60 VRS 2.0 TDI a couple of weeks back but unfortunately when it came to getting my remap back I was told that that it had the latest Bosch MED17 firmware and the Bluefin could not upload the new map via the OBD port. Considered a refund but Instead of a refund I drove down to Superchips who did the remap on site by removing and reprogramming the ECU (my Bluefin now works as well). So glad I didn't go for a refund...as above, the car is transformed 205BHP & 415Nm torque, altogether a much better drive, would definitley recommend the upgrade!
  6. OK, so after doing some digging on the forums it appears that there is a 2000 file limit which I think is causing the issue. Shame, because I reckon that only accounts for half the capacity of the card! Rick.
  7. Hello, I've just bought a 32G class 10 memory card and filled it to the brim with all my music in MP3 format, with folders indexed by artist name A - Z. I've noticed that my Bolero reads the card but some folders are missing. For example it read all my folders down to "U" then I noticed that everything after this was missing. So I did some re-organising of folders and same thing results, I'm missing another set of folders. I've consulted the Bolero manual and it doesn't really give a lot of detail regarding memory cards except to say that folder structure cannot be more than 8 levels deep (which mine isn't, max 3 levels deep). So I'm thinking there is a maximum limit on the number of folders? Something in the manual about maximum 1000 something, looks like a printing mistake because it has the degrees symbol after it, I wondered if it meant 1000 folders? I could dump all the songs into the root directory but that would completely destroy my filing system and be a nightmare to find anything. Anybody have any ideas on this please? Cheers - Rick.
