    Thanks very much for the replies. In the manual, as they go into a fair amount of detail of the Electronic Differential Lock (EDS), and how it operates, it seems a bit strange to make no mention at all of the 4 wheel drive.

    Recent got a 57 plate Scout. The manual in the glove box says Skoda Octavia Owners Manual - no mention of 'Scout' in the manual at all. Is this the correct manual? No direct mention of '4 x 4' function in the manual. It does refer to EPS (TCS, ABS, EDL) though. Thanks
