  1. We have a VW Golf 1.9 TDI with this box in part ex (Volvo mechanic) i just serviced that and it seems to do the same thing, its an 08 plate and has about 90k on it though! wonder if its a fault or a characteristic?
  2. Hi there everyone! I own a 2008 PD170 Octy VRS and i was wondering if there are any decent brake upgrades out there? Personally i think my pedal goes a little hard and doesn't feel very good when doing some spirited driving! I had Skoda carry out a full flush on the system last service but im still a bit cautious of them! Been looking into EBC Redstuff and a set of decent Drilled and Grooved discs to help and was just wondering if you guys had any opinions and suggestions? Thanks in advance! Jack.
  3. Sorry to make a seperate thread for this so late! There will be a meet at picket post services, on the A31 Everyone is welcome, Should be arriving from 11-11.30 and plan the day from there, im thinking a bit of a drive throught the forest, a few stops on the way for various photos and a pub lunch, I think we have a bout 3/4 cars including myself coming along! As i said, Everyone is welcome and i hope to get regular meets started along the south coast! See you all there!
  4. Sounds like a good plan! shall we meet at the picket post services at around 11-11.30ish? has anyone had any ideas on having lunch yet? either find a pub or maybe BBQ? in my personal opinion i think pub might be better due to our unpredictable british weather! Naybo if you need a hand with anything for the MOT let me know! Im a Mechanic at Volvo

  7. A BBQ sounds good, looks as though there will be about 3 of us then? Really hope you find work naybo! Is there many BBQ Friendly areas down there then?
  8. Finally! looks like were getting a good fan base down here! lol, im going to have a chat with my mate as he had a Hyundai Coupe and was allways organizing meets for the UKHCC in the new forest and i used to go with him and have a great time, so hopefully he will have some good suggestions, I think im gonna try and get a table at the red-shoot inn for lunch say about 12.30 1 ish? unless any one else has any inputs Any suggestions are welcome! I will post up the locations of the meet when i have planned it
  9. I sometimes go down matchams! its a good laugh watching the old bangers drift and occasionaly get it wrong, there has been a VW bus stand down there for a while so if a bus can have a stand then so can we lol Can we do may the 20th as its a sunday then? I can spend all day saturday in the workshop then polishing to show off the VRS Can we possibly get a little list going as to who would be up for may the 20th? im in. 1. Jack.
  10. Lets keep an eye on the weather and plan something for either a saturday/sunday when everyone is free and the sun is actually out, i think its meant to be rain for a while yet, im suggesting meet on the outskirts of Lyndhurst and then go to a pub for lunch? if we all fancy it! and whatever pub we decide on i will phone ahead before the meet and pre-warn them we will be coming (not in a bad way lol!) Also find a few nice areas we can take some photos of all the motors together! Im quite excited now :S
  11. Thanks for the advice guys, i just got to get the money together now to buy one!
  12. keep an eye on ebay mate, there are plenty on there and very reasonably priced too
  13. Hi there! Still relatively new to this site and was wondering what i would need to do and if i can put the Columbus head unit into my 2008 VRS, My old vectra C Facelift had built in sat-nav and i would also really like this on my new car! and it would be a nice upgrade, Im aware that these are around the £500 mark on ebay but i would really like one! Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance, Jack.
  14. I know of some awesome roads in the new forest around lyndhurst way if we all fancy a day in the forest, and there is a pub called the snakecatcher which has very good food and also the red shoot i think its called has good food! I think a few photos of all the cars in the forest would look great too! Its brilliant knowing there are a fair amount of skoda fans are nearby!
