+1 for sending a solicitor's letter, You could also try local breakers as well.

I haven't seen one either.

I had one replaced/repaired after it started to flash randomly. It was done under warranty.

Just Got My Edition 100
richardcrossley replied to JonathanK's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
A friend of mine asked, "What kind of BMW is this?", when he sat in it for the first time. I like my Ed 100 a lot. I did see an Octavia Ed 100 in Italy a few weeks ago. -
Missing My Skoda Superb Elegance
richardcrossley replied to chipmonster's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
I missed my Superb when I was rear ended. I was given a VW EOS because it was automatic and had sat nav. While it was fun to drive it really wasn't practical. -
What does that bit do?... Thread
richardcrossley replied to dempswar's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
The "thing" in the boot at the top right hand side is the TMC unit for the Sat Nav. There is a non-audiable radio broadcast that contains traffic information that allows the Sat Nat to make redirection recommendations. For this to work, the CD needs to be TMC enabled. My factory supplied one isn't but my Italian CD is encoded and on a recent trip to Italy should traffic queues on the motorways. -
What was wrong with the standard handbrake in the first place? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" should have been considered.

Bi-Xenon Euro conversion on Superb
richardcrossley replied to ViicMo's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
I've used the Eurolites, stick on converters and did quite a bit of night driving across France and Spain, without incident. The instructions for each make of car and type of headlamp are included and they take about 5 minutes to fix. I think I bought them in Halfords. -

Empty slot under CD changer in Superb boot
richardcrossley replied to warrenlester's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
There seems to be two slots on the left hand side in mine, one above and one below. The one above is used for keeping a change of CDs. The one below seems to have a couple threaded holes that look like something could be mounted there. I wondered about a mini disc player. The bottom hole also seems to have a plastic bar running vertically approximately 1/3 of the length. On the right hand side is a well type thing with an elasticated strap. It could be used for a first aid kit, but I use it for a picnic box when I'm on a long haul. -
According to the trip computer I achieve around 40 mpg on the motorway, I have managed 51.3 from Glasgow (Services on the M74 South of Glasgow) to M25 J11, but that was doing 50 mph. I don't know about

I was at the dealers this morning. The subject of the new Superb came up in conversation. Apparently there will be a hatchback, estate and coupe. I must say if the pictures are anything to go by, the new Superb looks cool, I can't wait to see the coupe and estate versions.

Headlight Beam Convertors
richardcrossley replied to SJFISHER67's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
Why can't the head light adjustment be hooked up to the Sat Nav, it knows where you are :-)
