  1. Im dyslexic too and I agree with tech1e, to me that's just bone idle poor grammar/spelling and in a mobile phone text format. People just can't be bothered helping if you cant be bothered typing out a thread properly, come on pal its not hard LOL. I digress, just keep the stock filter, do the pikey mod or use a PD160 intake tract - the stock intake is not very restrictive until you make very big power I'm talking into the mid to high 200's.
  2. 350lb ft not possible. 173BHP is possible so is 315lb ft - but its on the higher on the spectrum of what standard you can squeeze out of it, you can get into the 180's but it wont last long will produce high EGT's/overspin the turbo and produce terrible heat soak. I'd push a standard car 170BHP and just under 300lb ft, then again comparing dyno's is useless most never read the same.
  3. I had some springs fitted for £80, it took them just two hours - two of them were on the job. In the NW though
  4. Soak in wd40, saw into the side by quite a bit then get a flathead screwdriver put it in the slit that the saw made and whack it. This had helped me before on a cam cover bolt.

  6. IMO, they look ****! more like a gimp mask for cars LOL What some people fail to realise when mentioning stopping stone chips etc which is a valid point is they trap bits at the top too with a bra on, so its a little counter productive.
  7. The noises/bumps could be the ARB's typically over bumpy areas or going over speed bumps.

That's really subjective to how the car has been driven, if its been looking after then the shocks wont get tired until around 100K, still you can tell by pushing down on one side of the car and see how the shocks react- but this isn't a brilliant analysis. If its been looking after I think you will be okay for a good 20-30K miles.
  9. If your getting springs whilst retaining the stock shocks, you need to look at the rebound rate of the shocks, and pick suitable ones according to the rates. I'd go for ones that are closest to stock. You'll often find the lower you go the further they are away from the rebound rate and thus a bouncy crashy feel, which is why coilovers/matched shocks are better. Not to say you can't improve things with springs though to an extent. Sometimes when you lower too much on springs you get a worse ride and handling as above and due to lowering so much you can't get the geometry in spec (stretched toe arms etc). Obviously lowering centre of gravity is one of the best things to improves handling/feel.
  10. My mate had a lowered fiesta ST with a few mods and it was brilliant at handling it really was! - was very suprised.
  11. I can see that, depends if it the weaker non mivec V6 they are pretty weak my mate used to have one, the MIVEC was miles better i believe.
  12. Good information here. The C2 vts, Fiesta ST sort of figures isnt bad for a diesel. Is the heatsoak that bad on a standard remapped? how many runs does it take or is it pretty much after a couple of seconds?
  13. I beat an s2000 easily. When i threw the fabia out of a plane 5000 feet up LOL.
