  1. Dog guard still available and free of charge to anybody who is willing to collect from Elton, near Chester
  2. So just the dog guard left for sale, any takers, open to offers on on it to get it out of my garage,
  3. Still got mat, but you’ll have to pay postage, sorry
  4. I’ll measure them later, but as they slide along the feet I don’t think the length will be an issue They are these, but with Volvo on the lock covers instead of Thule
  5. The mat is over 5kg, not sure how much it would cost to post out
  6. A bit heavy I think to post, I’ll try and weigh it later
  7. Due too trading my Superb in next weekend, I have a few items for sale 1, genuine Skoda dog guard, £30, will require 4 rivnuts for mounting to car body. 2, genuine Skoda heavy duty rubber boot mat, £15 3, genuine VAG MDI lead for USB stick, £7 4, genuine VAG MDI lead 30 pin Apple connector £7 5, Thule roof bars (Volvo logos, but same ends for Superb roof rails) with two keys, £30. i believe the roof bars may fit the Octavia roof rails also, but please check before you buy bigger items will need to be collected, smaller items I will post out for whatever the cost is, i may accept sensible offers for any of the above
  8. Running Goodyear F1s on my estate in the same size, second full set I’ve had on it, good wear rate, lasted over 30k, got 4 delivered for £330 and fitted them myself
  9. Only just put the new battery on today, thought it best to as I had to bump start it across a car park the other day, my Fabia battery was about 10 years old when that died, so I’m disappointed that I’ve only had just over 6 years out of the Superb one
  10. Got one from TPS, part of their range for older vehicles, £60, it’s actually an Exide battery, they were selling cheaper batteries too that would have done the job, but the spec was slightly different
  11. My battery is dying, had the dreaded flat battery click from the starter motor on Saturday morning, I’ve looked online for prices, but depending on which site I put my reg in, it brings up a different battery spec, either 075 or 096, can anybody confirm the exact spec battery my car should have, it’s a 11 plate Superb 1.8tsi SE Plus, also, does anybody have a preference as to which make of battery I should buy ? I’m steering clear of Euros Lion brand, TIA
  12. 26 hours labour, ouch, can't believe they are trying to charge that much labour
  13. I think the dentman we use at work charges about £40 a panel
  14. When I asked the dentman to look at my dented door, he said he could get the dent out without any door trim removal, by accessing through the hole where the wiring goes into the door
  15. I think more info is required, like when it does it etc
  16. You can usually get different clamps for Thule roof bars if you need them
  17. I believe I was mis-quoted by TPS, as I've now got a quote of £285, I think they included the balancer shaft chain and guides
  18. Mine is rattling on start up which is a sign, apparently, of possible impending failure, So I'm pricing up to get my tensioner and chain done, could do it myself, but got no time Superb 1.8TSI, 11 plate
  19. Been quoted by TPS £375 for timing chain, tensioner, chain guides and lower cover, seems a bit steep that, and I'm in the trade
  20. Did you only have one of these looms ? If so, do you know the part number so I can order one from TPS
  21. All sorted now, after speaking to RossTech via their forum, there latest update for VCDS, 16.8.1, fixes the issue with the missing .ROD file
  22. Right, now I've got my head together I will repost, My 11 plate Superb 1.8TSI rattles slightly on start up, guessing chain tensioner just taking up slack, but I think also it might be burning a bit of oil also, hence my slightly stressed deleted post the other day, So as a Volvo technician, I'm quite capable of fitting the new chain and tensioner set up, but if it's burning oil is it worth ? I personally can't afford a new engine, plus I still owe on the loan for the car, so can't get rid of it either, I wouldn't want to anyway as its been an excellent car, Any thoughts please
