Well my time here is going to be short lived. I cancelled my order yesterday, sick of the crappy communications and excuses. Too be honest I would never recommend anyone buying from them. After the investigation they told me the build week would be 36 and I would get it in September, but I can ignore that and should probably get it mid August...... So I replied well you can keep it until 1st September then for the new reg, and they said "oh no we can't delay the car, you would have to have it when it arrives". To which I said you can cancel it then. They then offered me £300 M&S vouchers. F**k O**. End of, deposit back and time to choose another car. Good luck to all those waiting!

Well thought I would call Skoda UK yesterday instead of checking through the dealership. Thinking I would get the same answers are they had been giving me. How wrong could I be, wait for it.......... this is what they said "Build Week 36 sometime in September, is that ok?" Er, no it's not f***in* ok!!!! Well I didn't say that but wasn't far off. Ordered Mid Feb, estimated April, then no build date still in April so i'm told it's due to my options, then it's def JULY because it's going to be the 2013 year model (whatever that means). Now September but that may also slip. It's not being "investigated" and someone will get back to me within 72 hours. I don't know what to do now.

Not Fair!!! I ordered mine mid Feb, 105 Diesel with a few extras and still have no build date but have been told it will be here in July! Can't understand that at all. My dealer has told me there is something called a 2013 revision being done and this is why it's going to be late???

M&S vouchers???

Anyone think there is a possibility that dealers holder back orders to meet quarterly targets?? Obviously Skoda had a busy start to the year because of the VAT Free offer, etc. So they have a load of orders in, and the first quarter figures are amazing, or the 2nd quarter figures if that's when the sales go through on delivery. So the dealers hold back some orders pushing some sales into the 3rd/4th quarters?? Any thoughts?

I will be available for interviews about my story ;-) Seriously though it is a joke, personally i think the comms from the dealership to customer are really bad, and maybe even from SUK to the dealerships.

my thoughts are that if i'm now being told mid july, then it's more likely going to be mid aug. So then I my as well wait until the new reg in september!!!

Still no build date, no update, nothing...... Ordered 1.6 TDI 105 Monte 15th FEB, estimated delivery April... That's not looking very likely at all.

Anyone picked up a monte recently? If so how long did it take to get a build date and how long did it take to turn up. Cheers!!

I have the same on order, can't wait. Looking good. I have thought about changing the order to white on a few occasions, but I'm now happy I have chosen the right colour.

In what sense, what are the real wait times?

That is not good! What have you ordered? Don't understand why the dealers would even bother leading customers down that path. You could argue that people wouldn't order if they knew how long it would take. But on the other hand why would they p1ss people off by giving them misleading information.

How long should it take to get a build week/date?? Thanks!
