hi, Has anyone experienced issues with their fuel gauge. Car is Mk 3 Vrs diesel, 2016 model. Last weekend it was very low on fuel and so i put £10 in it (came to top of red with a range reading of 55miles) till i could et to my usual filling station where i filled it fully. when driving after filling it i noticed that the fuel gauge hadnt moved form the end of the red range and still showed a range of 55 miles to empty. After 50 miles the car has shown 0 miles range and has done so since, having now covered 370 miles. Today i have had the sender out of the tank, checked the connections all okay and run a full scan on the car which has shown no issues at all. can anyone offer help or assistance. thanks

Thanks for the replies. I drive it in individual mode with everything in sport set up but gearbox in drive as opposed to sport. I did this prior to the map. The map itself was custom on a rolling road with synonyms printout. I haven’t spoken to the company yet as I wanted to make sure it was something people suffered generally. The terrain. Time of commute. Driving set up is all exactly the same as it was prior the remap just the economy is poor.

Hi all. I have a 2016 vRS tdi with dsg box I have recently had the engine and box remapped by a highly recommended installer. The problem I’m having is my fuel economy has dropped on my daily commute by around 7 mpg. When I had the map done the request was for a mix of performance and economy. Car used to average 43 mpg over quite hilly terrain to be fair. Since mapping it hasn’t got above 37mpg. My previous mk2 fl estate was remapped and although manual used to do 53 on same journey. Has anyone else found this following remap?

That’s great thanks, Dealers are trying to get me some good will on it as its only 40k and had five dealer services, approved used warranty only ran out in March also, Fingers crossed they will come good for me

Afternoon, Have any of you had any issues with the crankshaft oil seal leaking, car is currently in fro service and been told it is leaking, from behind timing belt, is this common? what does it entail to change and cost, car is 65 plate vRS tdi with 40k, Full skoda service history. Thanks

I have just bought a two year old diesel DSG hatch with 23k, paid £14500 which was a good price, got a tan of fuel and the tax thrown in to get the little bit more, I like you always want more for my pound but sometimes you have to just bite the bullet and accept its not coming down any further, I do agree with you about dealers though, I find now that many wont budge an inch

Evening, Are the ABS sensor, tyre pressure monitor and mpg sensors all together or am i barking up the wrong tree? the reason i ask is fuel economy according to MDI has been a bit erratic of late, i had a puncture the other day on NSF but no monitor activation (and it was completely flat beyond repair), when the car wheel spins brakes go spongey for a little while and peddle travel increases, also theres a droning noise at around 70 mph (can only hear it in the car), this appears to come from the front end which i think may be a bearing, I have replaced the tyres and its still there so not them and it continues if the clutch is dipped, i have had it scanned and it shows no errors? could this all be connected or am i way off the mark, i'm thinking wheel bearing and abs ring might need replacing, does anyone have the part numbers to hand. the car is fl tdi estate thanks

Soft scoop was correct. Centre bolt was sticking out tried to have it tightened and it just span. New compressor needed and now I'm cold again just in time for the weather to change. Thanks for all the help

Afternoon all. I have a 2010 cr engined Octy vRS the air con appears to have given up the ghost. I have had it regassed pressure tested and also the pressure sensor changed but still to no avail. I have noticed that neither of the cooling fans in the engine bay are spinning at any time when the engine is running. Does anyone have any ideas of the problem before the compressor gets changed.
