I really wanted an SE with a couple of optionals added but would have had to wait for build time - my circumstances dictated that I needed a car more quickly and the local dealer found 3 SE greenlines that were sitting in Germany ready to come to the UK so colour selection was limited also - they did have a white one which was tempting as I think it looks lovely in white (but the boss of the house objected for the reason that our local taxi rank is full of black and white superb's and didn't want punters diving in to the back seat at traffic lights) We opted for the Amethyst Purple, which is nothing like the colour in the brochure and is more of a beige colour. It certainly has a purple tinge in a certain light.

Agreed as above, just ordered my Greeline and was advised by the dealer: Services scheduled for 10,000 mile intervals and at the final of the three will then set to the service interval to long range Excellent stuff

Well, not sure how to take this, but my local dealer gave me a 13 week lead time, where other Skoda retailers have managed to track down a couple of potential cars. Looking forward to showing the other this car tomorrow evening.

Ok guys, here is the long and short of it. I've had a test drive of a Superb 1.6TDI Greenline and have to say I'm impressed. Liked the numbers and then we got to the kicker that I know is all too familiar to all - There was a Greenline Hatchback sitting in the showroom, which it wasn't in my particular choice of colour and trim, I would have snapped it up there and then. The dealer told me of the lead time to delivery of 13 weeks, which in most cases I would be ok, but I'm sort of in a hurry. So friends, if you know of a Superb Greenline in an SE trim sitting in a showroom anyway in the UK, I'd be very grateful. Here's hoping Mike
