  1. Right I've swapped them, got a pair of Michelin PS3 for 111 each, plus 20 quids vouchers so 101 a corner, put on back with back Goody ears moved to front. Good years on back still 6mm after 18k, it's the fronts that had worn out.. Think Michelin will last longer and they were cheaper than Goodyear and in reviews it seems a close call between both tyres in performance.
  2. Actually mate that's why looking at swapping now as traction always kicking in, last car scooby, don't hang around in this either, spirited driving always should we say, always within the law of course though officer
  3. Anyone any experience of Michelin PS3 and how long they last?
  4. hiya, I looked at that but thats no longer recommended practice, they say now best tyres should always be on the back.
  5. stoofa do you recall what sort of mileage you got out of them, must admit i was expecting 25k plus out of the goodyear's but looking at other forums goodyears still seem to be the favourites and yes my experience of sc3 were the same, long life.
  6. Hi, its that time again, had 4 goodyear F1 aysm 2's fitted April 2013 to VRS petrol. Front 2 now down to 2mm after 17,000 miles, so looking at replacements, rears still 6mm. Can anyone quote figures for Conti CSC 5's or Micheln Pilot Sport 3 to compare. Not sure if to stick with Goodyear or switch as expected to last longer if honest. Price compares Goodyear - £104 Micheln - £112 CSC 5 - £ 109 so nothing in the price, do love the goodyear's in wet and dry though thoughts please
  7. Tbh a geek, I put info into sop every fill average since start over 18month ago is 31mpg, hence even more surprised that constantly in 35 plus on vpower
  8. I always use the app all year round and can say yes in winter only ever got late 20's on normal fuel, only decided to try super lately and seen improvement. I do know summer better but looking back at last years fills only in 33mpg's never this high but as said only my view, if continue to get similar feedback I'll remove post only passing on what I've found
  9. I also don't believe any one can do the tests as u say but I've given real world findings which manufactures/ scientists can't do.. I've not said u must get vpower just given facts as I've found...
  10. Each time brim to brim fills ie always wait until light on and fill until click and use iPhone app yo record mileage and work mpg out. Each fill approximately two weeks apart and similar journeys, do short trips to work, eg 4 x 3miles per day plus longer a road trips to van twice a month 100 miles a time.. I'd say very similar journeys over past couple months.. Agree weather been different although would say only last few weeks with vpower have I had air con on all time too
  11. Since April been trying various fuels Found following this on fill to fill tanks across mixture short journeys Sainsbury super 30 mpg one tank Tesco momentum 3 tanks equalled 32.44,33.72 and 32.20 mpg Changed to new vpower nitro 3 tanks equalled 35.02, 36.24 and 35.01 mpg Seems to be worth extra, feels better too.
  12. not sure what wear be like compared to conti sports but so far id say worth the wear as only do 10k a year and car feels so much better
  13. OMG used for first time in wet today, car so different like driving in dry, so strange to power off a roundabout and not have traction control light flashing away, just feels so different, cant believe the difference and better mpg on same journey. Happy days
