For those that helped or come across a similar fault.... The auto electrician checked it out to be a problem with the starter control module and fitted a new relay and by passed it I believe!! Thanks guys

I have 275 in West Yorkshire

With battery out opened the trunking and the red/black wire is folded back on itself in the trunking. Shaved a bit of the cable outer back to expose the wire and I have continuity from that point to the stater plug where it is ok if I hot wire it to!! I'm thinking it's going to be fuse or switch end now??
-
Thanks for info, think I'm going to have to get batt and tray out again to trace it, can't seem to get the steering column cowl off, can't get to 2 screws with steering wheel on!

Great thanks, just going out to check fuses, is it the box drivers side dash? Any idea of number?? Before I take ignition switch out!! Thanks Andy

Hi everyone! Got the wire of death symptoms again (3rd time now) I extended the wire the first time 3 years ago then second time 1 year ago it had broken off at the wire to the plug do re soldered it! This time it is still connected and won't start if you wiggle the wire while cranking or anything! Checked power to wire and nothing! Starter works if I run a wire from battery + to starter terminal, so motor etc is ok!! Anyone had experience of ignition switch issues? Is it fuse and or relay fed?? Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance guys/girls!!

Looks a stunning job!! Need pic with em on car ???? -
I just used a small screwdriver! They just pop out! If you wanted to be cautious you could wrap some electrical insulation round the end if your scared or slipping or use something plastic?

Long way for you to come and you need to take bare wheels but cas coatings in Bradford did mine! £1 per inch (diamiter) or £1.50 per inch lacquered too!! -

Springs and shocks! I can't have too low due to steepness of drive!! So it's just right for me! Think it looks right with the wheels too! I know each to own and all that but me happy now!!! -

It has settled a bit lower since, that photo was the other day when I'd just dropped it off the jack, I think it's more than 25mm, catches on drive now! Will get before pics up soon and a more recent one to compare!! -
