  1. Thanks all. It's the standard VAG key with the flick out metal bit you have to stick in the cylinder in the steering column. No fancy stop start button here. I'll try changing the batteries in all the keys one last time and see what happens. If that doesn't work then I'll try a new key.
  2. Morning all! My wife has a 2015 Octavia SEL which appears to have an issue. A few months ago a warning came up on the dash saying "change key battery". We did this and all was fine but a month later the same happened. We have swapped to use a different key and changed the battery in that key too but after a month the same has happened. We took the battery right down to flat once and had to use the key in the door lock just to check that it wasn't a wrong error message. Could something in the engine be draining the key battery? An imobiliser issue? Any help gratefully received.
  3. Ordered a 140 TDI SE Plus at beginning of Feb and collected last week (which was on if not slightly ahead of schedule.) Don't know if that helps at all!
  4. Doesn't sound too big a job. Many thanks for all your help!
  5. Many thanks. The Fiscon says it doesn't do rSAP (basic Plus) so assumed the oem would. Is the wiring for the antenna already fitted so it just plugs in?
  6. Hello all! I posted here a few months ago just before I bought a 2012 mk2 vrs 170 (non-dsg) with Bolero asking about retro fit Bluetooth. The options appear to be Fiscon, Parrott, oem or Denilson I don't really fancy the Parrott as I don't fancy nailing an extra screen to the dashboard and was pretty well settled on the Fiscon. My father in law has a new Superb elegance with factory fit Bluetooth and we were discussing rSAP which his has. Would any of the above options give me rSAP or do they just use the phone as the transmitter / receiver?
  7. Thanks for that! Wasn't sure if I'd have to add a Maxidot too (which obviously puts the price up) so am relieved at that. Will see what I can do...
  8. Sorry if this has been asked before (which it probably has many times... Couldn't easily find any other threads on here about it though...!) I'm picking up a new car on Monday and was interested in what options I have to get Bluetooth working. It's a new VRS with the standard Bolero with iPod connector. No maxidot and it's not the DSG so no multi function steering wheel. I assume I can't add Skoda bluetooth as I don't have the above extras (but correct me if I'm wrong) so assume I'll haver to go for a 3rd party fit. I've come across Parrott and FISCON. Lokking at it, the FISCON would integrate pretty seamlesly into the Bolero and the touch screen would operate it but the Parrott would have to have an extra screen fitted? Does that sound about right? Any help greatly appreciated!
  9. Not sure if I can name dealerships but it was a sales person at our local dealership. He was pretty mental though (I bought the car at a different dealership in the end).
  10. Collecting an in stock one on Monday and was quoted an 8-12 week wait for a VRS to order and a six month wait if it's a DSG as the factory in Japan which makes some of the chips was destroyed in the earthquake.
