  9. i fiited the thermostat and sensor that came with it,that fixed the problem before now it returned, heres what i got before http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.4_2003/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/car-thermostat/?209780020&1&f0a6d258a0ffdeda238f5b7153cac5220221e9ee&000325

  11. wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper places to order gen parts than from a dealer?when i used to own vauxhalls theres a place called autovaux that used to sell gen parts cheaper than vauxhall, surly there gotta be something about for skoda?

  16. temp gauge isnt working, tryed vcds and its reports coolAnt sensor again as fault...sure it was a part recommend on here from euro,i guess you get what you pay for with pattern parts
  17. I replaced the coolent sensor/thermostat not long ago on the 1.4 fabia classic, now its gone again...any reason why it would feck up so quick? It was a pattern part euro, reckon it could be that?
  18. i had been concerned about the HG before,i have since changed the thermostat, new oil/filter gave the coolent system a good flush as it was a mess.for a while there was no gunk and i thought problem solved, however the gunk has returned along with the fabia runing poor (more on start up),it has also lost alittle water.its only being used at the moment to get to work,10 mile there and 10 mile back.it isnt overheating and there isnt white smoke ****ing out it
  19. i changed the thermostat a while back hoping that with a service would stop the gunk build up as the fabia hadnt been serviced right by previous owners...went out today and had a look...i guess thats it now..still to decide what next move will be,the current engine will needa timing chain kit as it rattles like fook and now headgasket might be cheaper picking up another engine and replacing myself.
  20. i followed your guide and used the same stuff from euro car parts, though my coolent bottle didnt clean up as well as yours lol.cheers
  21. did you add the cleaner additive to the old coolent before flushing,if so long was it left in the coolent?

  25. this with a gasket should be good enough right? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.4_2003/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/car-thermostat/?209780020&1&f0a6d258a0ffdeda238f5b7153cac5220221e9ee&000325
