  1. Thanks for the reply.I have looked on ross techs website, but the fault codes, dont relate to anything specific. I have bought a injector loom, and I will fit it and see what happens. The glow plug faults seem strange, as the car has never struggled to start and the glow plug light always goes out after a couples of seconds, and I would not have expected a fault on all 4 at once. The garage that I used, had a snap on diagnostics machine, once I have fitted the loom I will get the car scanned by someone more familiar with vag com and vag cars.
  2. I have had a garage look at my car today, it has a slight misfire. They have said it is electrical, and mentioned the following codes. P161A P161B P161C P161D They said the code means an open circuit on the glow plugs P0303 Intermittent misfire on cylinder 3. Car is 57 plate tdi bxe engine. Would this be an indication that the injector loom is broke? and needs replacing. £65.00 at TPS
  3. I had to replace a seat belt due to it fraying, the plastic trim that is on the pillar actually had a groove in it that the seat belt had made, this led to the belt fraying. I should have renewed the trim, as the belt is fraying again.
  4. I have had rear tyres wearing out on the inner edges for years, I finally had new rear arms fitted and 4 wheel alignment done using a hunter rig. The printout showed perfect alignment, but the rear tyres are still wearing on the inner edges I just put up with tyres not lasting long. The car drives ok and handles perfectly.
  5. Owl. thanks for that. I will jack it up and measure the bar.
  6. This is copied from my service book. 1Z3264 OCT LIM AMB JCR 9102 BK 77KW BXE EOA 1DO 5SJ 5RV 1KD 6FB 1AC 3FA 1N3 1NL H6T 4UF 4R4 3NC 3GT 4X1 4AO 8L3 J0N 7AH 8GU 6YO 9AP 8RM 7GO 8YH 8GL 8XO 4K3 BO9 GO2 GN1 3L3 9P1 7XO 9WO 8WA 7A2 3GA GG1 0GG LO6 7PD F0A 3S4 2UA
  7. I am looking at replacing my anti roll bar bushes, I have looked in my service sheet and none of the mentioned codes appear. Does anyone know what line of the code should show it.?
  8. My 57 plate has just ticked over to 350,000 this morning, engine is still the original. Had 2 clutches, cam kit fitted at the right times, always had the water pump done as well. The only new part needed was a valve spring, about 100,000 miles ago. I think it was fitted with cam followers at the same time. BXE engine
  9. I had 1 done last month, it is quite an easy job, but the hub nut has to be torqued to a very high setting. I think the bearing was about £80.00 from TPS, and I was charged for about an hours labour.
  10. Number 10, on that picture. I got the bolts the other day from tps, i think nuts, bolts and washers was £16.00. I just bought 2 replacement wishbones, not actually fitted them yet, as the bolts need cutting off.
  11. I fitted seats from an estate into a 57 plate hatch, they were the exact same. The side bolsters are different.
  12. Darkside break vag group cars, it is in the same ind est but under a different name, they would have all the bits to fix a steering fault, a cheap and easy fix.
  13. The seats from an 06 octavia will not fit into an 02, they are mounted completly different.
