  1. If the parked cars were on the cyclists side of the road, what are the chances of the cyclist stopping to give way to the car.. more than likely he would of just carried on cycling and squeezed through the gap. Just causing an issue out of nothing IMO.
  2. Product: Wolfs Chemicals Blackout Reason: This is quite simply the best tyre dressing I've ever used. It has incredible beading properties. After a month and 2000miles the tyres are still beading away and are still a good shade of black. Simple wipe on and let it dry. Easily outlasts the likes of Meguiars Endurance. Has definitely earned its place as a permanent fixture in my detailing army.
  3. My insurance is up for renewal soon. Quoted £2000 over the phone for renewal with admiral. Went online to admirals own website.. £900. And on confused.com.. £700. Same company, Same policy, 3 different prices. Madness.
  4. Autobrite have the best deals I've come across for the flex machines
  5. Insurance companies seem to pluck their prices out of thin air!!

  6. For the price this product certainly punches well above its weight
  7. A duster.. also very useful at this time of year for getting the pollen off that seems to constantly cover the car http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000007.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2epolishedbliss%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fcar-care-products-shop-by-category%2ehtml&WD=lamb&PN=pb-lambswool-duster-cat11%2ehtml%23aMELD0001#aMELD0001
  8. An "IPA wipedown" would most normally be done after polishing. It will remove any left over polish residue so that your surface is now clean for you to apply your protection, Wax, Sealant etc. In theory your protection will bond better as there is no left over residue in the way. Your bottle should have a % on it, most likely around 99%. You then dilute it down with water so that it would become something like 15% / 25%,(everyone will tell you different), or there abouts. I then put this into a spray bottle, spray onto the car and wipe off.
  9. A work colleagues computer was on the receiving end of cryptolocker, easy enough to remove the virus but all files were corrupted.
  10. Whilst it won't achieve the same results as hours of prep work and a good show wax, there is certainly products out there for people who don't want the do all the prep work and still achieve satisfactory results. For example, Soft99 Fusso Coat wax, not my picture but this car has had no prep work and just 2 layers of the wax applied. Should supposedly provide 12 months of protection and only costs around £26.
  11. Not sure if you are aware but that Flex machine is a DA rather than a Rotary. Autobrite also currently has the Flex machines on sale at the moment: http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/sale-items.html
  12. Product: 303 Aerospace Protectant Reason: Incredibly versatile product that can be used on trim, interior, engine bay etc. Easy to use, spray on, wipe off. Gives a great a finish just how it would look when new. Repels against many things like dirt and oil. Beads well. And also protects against UV. Have used many similar products but nothing comes close to this IMO. Product: Meguiars Super Degreaser Reason: Great product for removing those slightly tougher deposits. When cleaning up my brake calipers etc. It removed deposits with ease that APC just couldn't touch. Also works out relatively inexpensive, even at the lowest recommended dilution ratio.
  13. I'll pop along too
  14. Not used them personally, but know a few people who have and have been very pleased with the service/job. Only ever heard good things about them.
  15. Apologies I haven't seen this in a while, Turbo was sold several weeks ago along with the sale of my car. Was never advertised on ebay so must of been someone else selling the same thing, will lock thread now to avoid any further confusion.
  16. As above, no problems with Cleanstore. Placed 2 orders with them and flawless service both times. Had a query with one of the products, sent them an email, received a reply within 5 mins!
  17. For anyone who didn't already know.. Halfords Flash Sale, Web Exclusive Only running from 12pm-2pm Today. 10% off everything. Jack
  18. I'd take a short trip down the M27 to Porstmouth and use JKM. http://www.jkm.org.uk/indexmotor.htm They are also a forum sponsor. Used them a few times and always top work
  19. This deal over on detailing world is the one most people take advantage of: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=183611
  20. The first 2 are part of the Nilfisk Compact range, which is supposedly the low end of their product range. Then the last one is part of their excellence range, which is their mid range product line. I think the excellence range is meant to have more robust internals IIRC, it would also be a fair bit quieter than the first two due a different style motor and how the motor is mounted. You won't be disappointed with any of them though as the Nilfisk build quality is great. I have the E120 which may be another alternative to look at, its the first product in their mid range product line. https://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=7590 And the car nozzle mentioned earlier, don't have one of these myself though. https://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=3563
  21. Any of the Nilfisk pressure washers are a great buy, and you won't be disappointed which ever model you go for..
  22. Looks smart Unfortunately I can confirm that the slippery slope won't get any better ! :( And by far the best colour, not that I'm bias or anything.
  23. Yes that's the only one of the products I've used before, Still got a fair bit left but I know it will soon be gone! Quite fancy seeing what the other CG's scents are like. Don't think the mother or girlfriend were too impressed when I told them what that it was strippers scent that they liked the smell of
  24. I sold my Fabia last weekend so treated myself to a few bits. Not used any of them before, yet...I'm honestly not to fussed about beading properties, I'm more into trying to achieve the best look rather than beading, which is the reason I haven't jumped on the Sonax BSD bandwagon as it seems that it's mainly loved for its beading properties. I'd be interested to see the Metro vac's side by side with one of the pet blowers, The sidekick is surprisingly powerful and IMO probably too powerful to dry a pet with. Never dried a pet though so I may be wrong Also liking the Wolf's products at the moment, The ones I have used so far have all been great. Still have a few I've got but yet to use, Also waiting on their Black Out tyre dressing but that's on back order. Looking forward to trying a few bits out this weekend. I heard that purple monsters are soon to be extinct
  25. And more.. Incredibly surprised at how powerful the Sidekick dryer actually is. It was certainly causing a bit of mischief in the office today, sat at the other side of the office and blowing peoples paperwork all over the place with ease. And on another note the Obsession Wax Shampoo has left a really good looking shine on the car which was really noticeable in the sun this morning.
