  1. Buyer claimed he tried this but the code he was given did not work.
  2. So you think 0131 is the code? He's tried it but says it doesn't work.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Can anyone confirm if the code above is likely the correct code (0131)? Thanks.
  4. Hi I sold my old Fabia mk1 stock radio on eBay, sadly I didnt have the documents for it such as manual, code etc so it was sold without a code. Buyer misunderstood and thought it came with a code so I'm trying to help him get it sorted. I've had a hunt through the garage and found the manual for it and have found some codes in the front, can you tell me if this is the security code to unlock the radio please? He said he tried 0131 but it didn't work? Is there a set procedure for entering codes? The SKZ number in the book matches the serial number on the radio. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the replies, will go ahead and get them. The dog is paying.
  6. Hi Are the seats on a saloon (2005) Fabia compatible with the hatch version? Dog has chewed the front drivers seat and part of the rear passengers, found some going cheap but from the saloon version. Thanks!
  7. No, I don't have any of the panel clips. Are these ok? Clips
  8. Just a thought, while I've got the door apart, the rear lock on that door has been acting up. It locks ok, but doesn't unlock using the key button. To unlock it I have to reach inside and pull the inside door handle, then press the unlock button. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?
  9. Ok thanks. If this doesn't work I'll try plumbers gold.
  10. No Nonsense Roof & Gutter from Screwfix. Had some repairs to do on garage roof & had plenty left over so thought it'd be ideal. Sealant I've got a dehumidifier unit running in there now to hopefully dry it out some. Will be testing it out soon, I'm in North Wales til Tuesday...it's bound to rain hard before then
  11. Hi. Thanks for all the help & advice on this. I finally got round d to putting g some sealant on where the think the problem is, pics below.., have I sealed in the right place? Ive gone right up the sides, to near the top. Anywhere else I should seal?
  12. Ok thanks. Will keep a close eye on it after any rain. I've tried fixing the washer pipe, does it just push together? Doesn't seem to help?
  13. I'm going to leave the door card off for now, next time there's good rainfall I'll take a look and see what I can see. Would going over the existing black sealant with another good layer be a good idea at this point? After fixing the rear washer pipe under the bonnet it's clear the connector above the rear footwell has a bit of a leak too...
  14. So it's runs down the inside of the bit marked in blue, then comes out of at the bottom red area, runs down onto the foam seal? The black sealant there goes all the way up and round.
  15. I just poured 10 litres of water down the window to test it, the inside of the door card is bone dry, nothing coming through. Here...? No, I don't think so, it's just a kink in the sealant line, it's still sealed.
  16. This is the bottom of the inside of the door. The sealant already there looks fairly well intact. There appears to be a bit on corrosion on the right side though.
  17. Hi, Im sure this has been posted before but search couldn't find much, specifically the fix. The passenger side footwell, front & rear, occasionally gets soaking wet. I think in heavy rain mostly. I read about the rear washer pipe connection splitting here, I checked that and it appears to have leaked at some point, however I don't think that's the main cause of water ingress because the washer pipe has been split under the bonnet the last few times this has happened, so washer fluid hasn't been getting back there lately. I read there's a common fault that caused water to come in, this topic, however it doesn't give much detail as to exactly where it's leaking or how to fix. The underlay is mostly wet in rear foot well, at the back. Thanks,
  18. Just read here about pollen filter replacement, someone mentioned their footwall was wet, so I may have a leak somewhere around there too. Thread During the storm a few weeks back my passenger footwell was soaked, rainwater must've got in somehow. (Made my car stink like cat **** too??)
  19. Think the filter got done about 5 years ago? I'll give that a go first, then investigate further. If it's a connection or motor issue is that quite a bit more complicated to find & fix?
  20. Hi The blowers on my MK1 Fabia have started to work intermittently. Setting 1 has always been a bit useless, 2 and 3 have got worse over the years and now 4 has packed up. When I first start the engine they'll work for a few minutes then stop. If I turn them off for 20 minutes then try again theyll work for a couple of minutes before dying again. After some searching I came across the thread below about the resistor failing & causing this problem. Looks a fairly straightforward fix so I'm going to give it a go. Can anyone confirm the part I need though, is it the one in the second link below? Thanks! Thread regarding resistor replacement Part I need to replace?
