  1. From Whatcar.com 15 May 2012 Volkswagen introduces standard DAB radio Volkswagen introduces standard DAB radio… For every model from Polo to Phaeton Available to order now All 2013 model-year VWs – apart from the Up – now come with DAB radio as standard. It was previously standard on Golf Match, CC and Touareg models, and a £185 option for other models. The updated audio systems will still be able to pick up conventional FM and AM radio signals. The 2013 model-year Volkswagen range is available to order now. --- After review of the options available in the new car market for a larger saloon, the Superb stands out as a great car which is let down by the lack of a larger engine (specifically the Audi 3.0 TDI unit,) odd colour limitations on the L&K models and no DAB radio - VW are rubbing it in with the announcment above. Sad to say, I am not going to buy a Skoda but spend a great deal more money to meet all of my requirements. So, goodbye Skoda Forum and thank you for your insight and wisdom. I leave you all with the call to arms against VW for trying to neutralise your brand - long live Skoda.
  2. I have held off ordering my Superb CR170 DSG due to the long and unspecified delays in producing the car, lack of choice of seat colour (L&K = dog poo brown only) and lack of DAB (for no reason at all.) If I find that the VAT offer ends on Sunday then I will be buying another brand anyway. Hello Skoda, anyone listening to a potential customer? Shame because everything else is fine...
  3. I am looking to buy a Superb CR170 Elegance but am put off by the vague delivery dates; 9 to 12 weeks build plus 3 to 4 weeks delivery, a total of 16 weeks. I asked the local dealer to look for a car that is unallocated in the pipeline. Nothing matches my specification requirements. I asked if a car that is not yet started to be built could have some of the optional extras changed so that I can receive my car sooner – the dealer looked at me as if I had said something rude. Surely the customer comes first? I contacted Skoda UK about the above plus why the L&K is only available with brown seats (I want Ivory) the answer was “Go away – we are not interested in talking to you.” Finally, all the UK's national radio stations and many local services will stop broadcasting on analogue by the end of 2015. How can we still be offered non DAB radios? I assumed that car manufacturers liked to be technologically advanced. Does the L&K have DAB with the digital TV tuner? Any suggestions or comments? (Can anyone help me change my email address on the forum as I seem to have a problem with my "email address being in use"?
