He said the best way to get good Mileage is to let a cold vehicle warm up, before DRIVING OFF. Having owned 5 Vehicles over the last 50 years, the best advice I was ever given. Hi my brother recently bought a Portable Stat-Nav, Until I suggested that He Delete History, He was having Problems with Destinations etc. Opening Memory and deleting History solved His Problems. Search my History on Skoda Yeti and deleted old Non Relevant Destinations, I'm In Aus, and any other destinations are irrelevant and Unit has been Magic Since.

Hi Guys have owned Diesels since 1982 and a Friend told that there not Petrol and to get out that Mindset. Retired Road Train Driver. Diesels need to Warmup for Min 3/5 minutes a while before Driving off. 1982 Toyota Hilux 300,000 KM. , Land rover TD5 Discovery 2.5 Litre Auto 385000 KM. Current Skoda Yeti 2.0 Litre auto amazed me 725KM/ 55 Litres refill then I released I had 58,000 KM on the Clock, after 50,000 km they just kept ed getting better.

Hi read this with Interest, I Bought , A "Innovan XC Caravan, with a few extras, Its Tare capacity is 1300 KG Tare connected to my Yeti, coming down from Toowoomba Qld. Aus. a Mate with Great Towing experience , said "You Don't even know it's there. As we come down the Range we were close to the bottom and he said what's your speed. Looked down 130KMph " Nearly shi"t myself. It's still Great.

Hi have you activated Blu-tooth on your phone. My LG 5X recently upgraded operating system, now have to Turn Blu-tooth on and Off , on when I want to use in Car , off when I want to use Wi-Fi in House. Technology is so to make life easier. !!!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps.

Had problem when my LG Nexus 5x wouldn't connect to Yeti Bluetooth and Tablet wouldn't connect. Reset networks on Both Android Devices, RESULT IS ALL OK. Hope this helps

Local has Ford Falcon GTHO Bathurst Winner V8 , His Wife , also a Rev Head said to him follow him I want a New Car, we talked and they both Drove my Yeti , and they bought a new 1.2 TSI Turbo, diesels are not available in Australia now. New Friends as a Thank you gave me 6 Bottles of Wine which we shared over BBQ.

Hi live in a Unit complex, most of my neighbors say "why do Warm Up your Yeti", your wasting Fuel. Have owned 7 vehicles ( 6.5 Million KM) over the last 48 years followed my Dad's advice + He had a work Mate who he asked to review my driving skills, He took me to Lakeside and we went around the track & around, Went for my Test and drove out of testing Station, as I drove up the Road Tester tried to distract my attention by talking, Who taught you to drive , answered my Dad and a Workmate of His, who is your Dad's work Mate, :**** JOHNSON", he told me to turn around and go back, "License Approved". Letter early 2016 says I don't need to have update, recent 12/16 V.W. Aus says my TBM is one of the infected vehicles, and in the same letter referred me to a Web site, entered TBM , guess what "not infected". Booked in 17/1/17 will advise after Hols, until End Jan '17 Holidays. So we are damned if we do/don't or at 65 , I've commended to accept "bullsh"" baffles brains, be it Corporate of Political. Don't know but my snowman does the job I bought it do, and has been reliable, Neighbors and Friends comment how good it is. Better note 2017 be a good year for everybody on this "Forum".

(Long Books state 4 diesels total ling 4..2 Millon KM (Adjusted Miles/KM ) My Snowman has dragged of, at a standing start from Traffic Lights , a Ford Falcon GTHO V8 "Original Bathurst Winner""Restored. We have become good friends, His Wife when I visited for BBQ, said that is so good , can I Have a drive. They now have GTHO and Skoda Diesel auto. Plus I can go from 65 years to 20. And enjoy my youth Daily, and Occasionally with GTHO.

Recently had letter from Director Skoda Australia saying that I had to have, my vehicle checked heading was "Vehicle Recall Campaign 23R6" quoting my Vin Number., " we do not currently have a specific date, have Booked in for normal Service 17/1/17. For latest news "http://www.skoda.com.au/dieselinfo" logged in entered Vin Number, "not effected" was response. Have been involved with computers since 1976, Plus have owned Diesel vehicles 1982, last count was 3.5 M KM since 1982 when I kept records for work. Old work habits die hard. Regards Geoff

Hi my Yeti speed o read's 6 km/hr slower than actual speed. Checked against 2 Mobile navigation devices. 1 Police time that I called for Traffic Police to contact their District Inspector. 135 in 100 km zone. Surprise they did, and Inspector came and I took him for a drive and we came back through Mobile Police. Inspector apologized and said he would look into the matter, Seems Constables were adding km to reading which was on top a unit that was mis calibrated. Career enhancement was apparent Reason????. So at 106 km actual 100 km designated speed and is the same across the board. Received my License in 1968, '68 to '72 received many fines, since X fingers none.

Past experience as a diesel owner - 5 vehicles, since 1978. The more they work the better they are Diesels need to be run in and also, mine didn't stabilize until 20/25000 KM, Also my Snowman and Caravan, when Snowman was made to work with Van attached it stabilized, now every day driving and towing stay very close.

Same could be said of LPG/Super & Regular vehicles in the past. But have driven/Owned Diesels since Late 70's, A Mate of mine has a solution. On Voting Papers another option be added, "None of the Above", if records show +40% , Salary is suspended for 6 months, Super is Forfeited and Army comes and collect them + 3 Senior Public Servants. They are then Taken to an internment camp in the "Simpson Desert Au", for 6 months. and left to fend & Feed for themselves. @ 65 , have found that "Bureaucratic Bulls**t baffles Brains" and I have more Brain Power, Though not Brilliant or gifted. The guy who taught me, was a "Road Train operator, 2 Milk Trailers", who did the Milk Run Longreach Qld to Mt.Isa & Return over 2 1/2 days. John had 2 Rules that he drummed into me: 1. Always allow your Diesel to warmup before driving off. 2. Never allow your Diesel to labour, if it gets close change to a lower gear. Have done 60,000 km in my "snowman" has been faultless except for "Diesel Gate" friends who driven my are also impressed.

Had to pickup Caravan @ Toowoomba Qld and drive to Brisbane coming off the Peak of the Range, my Mate said to me do you know what speed your doing, He didn't know Said No, looked down at speedo nearly Sh"t myself, 138 km/hr/ 86 mph, as far as I aware had been doing that for 45/60 minutes. Have done a lot of towing nothing ever felt as good as this. My "Yeti" and My "Penguin" are an unimportant part of my life.

Hi I'm another Aussie, Have had 5 cars, all at there times, were little known except for my Toyota Hilux ute. Kept records and have in my time have accumulated 4.5 Million miles and KM. , My Dad always said on your Test drive "clear your head" if it feels right it is good for you. Yes, and they are effective, On the front left @ right have Clim Air Sport according to Box and Instructions "Made in Germany". 2. Rear 2 windows are "Team Hero", also Made in Germany". In Australia, at the moment Temperature/Humidity have gone Crazy, Air-con is not cost effective, + clean fresh air is more efficient/and enjoyable, Geoff

My Mates "Rusty & Star" both border "Collies" with 2 rear seats laid flat have heaps of room. They have been trained to respect boundaries and still got 2 extra seats for Human friends. Enjoy your new friend.

Hi recently had 45 K service, reported some concern's as you reported. 50.000 KM + Found that I had Major problems concerning fuel Pump/electronics included within Tank. Just out of Warranty . Previous vehicles 2 diesel since 1980, nearly 1M kilos. no prob's. Service Dept. were magic, but refused copies of electronic Diagnostics sent to VW Aus/Skoda. have learn t that Info is Magic. Is this or another Skoda Gate, my Snowman is Magic still.
