Yes, but I bought mine used, so factory extra was not an option (BTW - It's Pete, not Phil) -
Octavia VRS Estate detachable towbar

Hi, they created a cover for the Yeti because the bumper cut is quite high-up and therefore very noticeable. For the Octavia, because the bumper cut is much lower, they thought a cover was not needed. The cost was £580 for 7 pin electrics and full coding. You can probably get it cheaper - but I've always had great advice and service from Phil Taylor so didn't mind paying bit more Pete -

Westfalia detachable swan neck Installed this morning by Phil Taylor Tow bars in Horndean. Very neat bumper cut, and can't really tell it's there unless you are very low behind the car. -

The car is booked in with Phil Taylor Tow Bars - they fitted the towbar on my Yeti a couple of years ago and fitted an access panel / cover which was allvery neat and tidy. I have not asked them about the Octavia - will check with them -

New Owner, iPhone 6 Help!
phineas replied to Christine_VRS's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I had the same problem with my 2016 vRS 230. My iPhone 7 paired OK, and I could pause/skip tracks, but I could not view music / podcasts / playlists on the Amundsen screen. I did a bit of fiddling and I now have it working as expected. This is what worked for me : disable A2DP / AVRCP in the Bluetooth settings, accept the warnings then enable it again, and select my iPhone as the Bluetooth source. I'm not sure if it is relevant, but my car was still paired with the previous owner's phone when I paired my iPhone. Maybe if I'd removed his phone straight away I would not have had this issue. Hard to say. Anyway - hope the above can help the OP if they still have this issue. -
Well, it took a while, but the Whippet finally has a new home ! It's a 2016 230 DSG Estate which I picked up last night It was mainly motorway and dual-carriageway on the trip home, but really pleased with it so far Thanks for all the help and advice Will very shortly be selling our Yeti (2012 1.2 TSI SE) if anyone is interested
-
Is it just the angle - or does that Green vRS Estate look to be riding very high ... ?
-
Thanks ! She's a Whippet - looking to move into a nice VRs Estate boot if anyone is selling ... :-)
-
Thanks - certainly worth considering. But the estate is to make life easier for this pointy-nosed idiot :-)
-
I had to pause the search for a few weeks, but still looking for a vRS estate, TSi (with DSG ideally) So if you are trading one in or thinking of selling, please drop me a line Thanks
-
Thanks Guys. So it seems it's Columbus Again, forgive my newbie ignorance - but what is MIB ? and what's the difference between MIB1 vs MIB2 ?
-
Hi all, I'm looking at an advert for a vRS, but the exact spec is not so clear and I'm still fairly new to Octavias Can anyone help me identify which info/nav system this is from slightly blurry picture ? It's a Jan 2015 registered car if that provides any clues ? Thanks
-
Thanks - that looks of interest.
-
Well budget is not set in stone, so if the right car comes along ...
-
i like the golf R and the Cupra - just a shame it's not possible to fir a tow bar to either of them
-
Thanks. I've got alerts setup up on Autotrader and also Pistonheads That one might be of interest ... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201612230810174 although I think it's a bit over-priced considering it's 2 months shy of being 3 years old But ideally I'd like to buy one privately if anyone is thinking of selling - then we can both dodge avoid the dealer markup :-)

Bump - still looking

Decisions time is coming near
phineas replied to loveman's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
The higher driving position is a definite selling point of SUV's - especially for women. When we bought the Yeti, my wife was much happier driving it than the previous car (Subaru Legacy Spec B) - as she could actually see where she was going :-) By the way - if anyone does decide to buy their car at the end of a PCP with the intention of selling/trading it then please drop me a line. I'm looking to buy a vRS Estate (TSI + DSG) to replace the Yeti -
Yes, it does seem to be well overdue a service. Perhaps it's on variable, but even then, 16K miles would be a bit of a stretch Reading between the lines, I think they are saying : it's due a service, but we have no intention of doing it :-) Anyway, thanks for the advice

Just on the off chance- I don't suppose anyone knows this car : OV63 ZGP ? http://www.carbase.co.uk/used/skoda/octavia/2-0-tsi-vrs-5dr/aetv62172642/

Hi all - my first post here in the sunny land of Octavia :-) although I've been on the forums for a few years as a Yeti owner I'd like to replace the Yeti with something a bit sportier so I'm looking to buy a vRS Estate (ideally TSI with with DSG) Just thought I'd see if anyone was thinking of selling - maybe coming to the end of a PCP and looking at their options ? Budget is up to about £13K - so it will be a 2013-2014 car I guess, but if it came with a bit of warranty left, that would be a bonus Please let me know if you are thinking of selling Pete
