My Mk2 Octavia VRS went today, so I have these winter wheels & tyres for sale. I purchased them from this forum last October, but due to a lack of snow they were never used & have been dry stored in my garage ever since. The only change is that I have put Skoda badges on the centre caps which can easily be removed & I swapped the steel valve caps. All are in very good condition. After trying to decide for a month or so I have decided to change cars. So I have my 2009 (09) Octavia VRS TDI for sale. It is currently on 97000 miles and I have owned it for the last 4 1/2 years / 60000 miles. Full documented service history with all receipts, MOT due Feb 2017, Manual gearbox, Spare Key Touchscreen media radio with 3.5mm aux socket, memory card reader and 6 CD , Dual climate control, 18in Zenith alloys which were refurbished a year or so back. Front Disks & pads changed this year. New AC Condenser fitted last month, the compressor was done @ 3 years ago. I have it put on Autotrader at £4999, but would be happy taking offers. Car is in Basingstoke. I also have a set of VGC alloy winter wheels & tyres which were bought last year off this site, but weren't used. Ill throw them in if I get close to the asking price. Thanks for the ideas , I'll try working through a few of them. Having read some reviews of the SSD I might try that route. The Samsung drives apparently come with cloning software which seems to work without too many glitches. Baz

I was advised that the Windows 7 was licenced to the PC it came with is that not the case?

Good evening. I have had my current PC for @ 4 years now so is probably due an upgrade as it is starting to run a bit slow at times. I have maxed out the memory at 4GB. I remember when I changed previously I was able to clone the hard drive from the old (XP)to the new (Win7) PC which saved all the hassle of downloading programmes and setting everything up again from scratch. I am told that Windows 10 does not allow this function, however there are still some PCs which can be bought with Windows 7. So would it be possible to clone the hard drive? I was informed that it may be worthwhile buying an SSD hard drive and cloning the drive on to that which would speed up my current PC. Hope this makes sense. Ta baz

I am clearing my garage and have a set of four Vredestein Quatrac3 all season tyres (205/55/16) on Audi alloys for sale. The tyres have been used for two winter seasons and are in good condition with 5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm & 6mm tread depth. Not sure on the wheel size but they were fitted to a MK2 VRS 5X112 bolts. The alloys are not in the best of nick and show signs of scuffs,scrapes and corrosion, but they will save your wheels over the winter. I bought them with the intention of a refurb but never bothered and have used them like this for two seasons. Price is £150 collect from Basingstoke. Baz

Trick is not to fit them too soon, if temperatures get above 10C they aren't as effective as standard tyres and will wear prematurely. Good price & I would take them if they were closer. GLWS

I don't trust couriers, I have had grief in the past. My boss is great but I don't think the Company would be too happy.

My Daughter collected the car today and is over the moon with it. Nick has been a real gent and a pleasure to deal with.

Had a couple of quotes today for Cambelt, waterpump & service for my VRs CR TDI City Skoda- £688 SJB- £680 So pretty much main dealer prices. Have to decide who I trust most to do the work
