If the car has factory fit Xenons, with the lack of headlight washers, I would be looking for poorly repaired accident damage.

I thought i would be the oldest at 57.

Like you i also have a 2008 Vrs TFSI, i have done 20000 miles since i have owned it, and have never heard the turbo, i had it seviced by a VAG specialist last week and he remarked on how well it goes, i would be worried if it started making noises.

They do not all use a lot of oil, mine has used 1 litre in the last 10000 miles.

It could be the seal that the brake pedal rod goes though in the servo.

I have not had mine fitted yet, the box is marked B12 Sportline, i will review shortly.

Job was done under warranty, no more stutters.

Mine was the same, then a couple of weeks ago I had a warning light come on, the garage changed the manifold runner motor and the engine breather valve, car now starts instantly and ticks over smoothly.

It is a hatchback, i know estates are more expensive, but it is over 2 years older and done 10000 miles more, and is almost the same price.

It seems overpriced, 4 months ago i bought a 58 plate TFSI, 55000mls, dual climate, cruise control, jumbo box, 18" wheels, FDSH for £7200
