  1. Well, its been 6 weeks since we collected the car. No follow up calls to see how we are getting on, no corrected paperwork sent through (which is an FCA ligislative omission).
  2. I thought i had found a dealership that were truthful, honest and helpful. But my experience has been less than that over the past weeks. There were a catalogue of errors on the paperwork that was completed by the admin department. Email address errors, home address put in work address on forms. Wrong house number on forms. Bearing in mind this should have all just been simple copy/paste excercise. When we part exchanged the car, we were told a pack of lies about how the mileage had to remain below 50k else the Audi dealer would not take the car off them. We cancelled a trip to the Zoo to keep the mileage down on our week off. The car was immediately put up on the used car website as soon as it had been part exchanged. We still OWN this car officially. So it cannot be sold until the finance is cleared. The mileage stated on the advert is wrong. The car is DSG and listed as a manual also. Concerned (as always) that my part ex would not have the finance cleared on it. I emailed my sales rep that sold me the car, asking for an update on when this would be cleared. We part exchanged our Audi A3 on the 11th October, and the settlement was valid until the 5th November. I did not get a response. I eventually managed to speak to someone about this on the 17th October, and i was informed by Gary Roberson "The finance was paid by BACS on the 16th October". I waited 10 long working days for this to show against our account with Blackhorse finance. For nothing to ever show. Chased this up wtih Sales Rep Maz, said he would contact us. No response. (i understand he has had a family grieveance, but there HAS to be some kind of handover taking place). Sales rep called me this morning to ask where the parcel shelf was in the car we part exchanged. It was there when we part exchanged the car. Appears like it has either been stolen by the valeters, or left out while car was cleaned and ruined in rain/chucked away. NOT our problem. This is 3 weeks since we part exchanged the car. What a joke. I managed to speak to Dave at the branch on Wednesday, for him to finally discover that in fact our settlement on the other cars finance had not even been sent. They were not sure what to do with it, so it just sat in a pile of paperwork since the 16th or thereabouts. Not good enough. Promising to get this sent today via CHAPS (which shows instantly) we have checked with Blackhorse and it is still not showing against our account. Called up (i was ringing out for 1 hour non stop. It appears that when the receptionist goes on lunch, NOBODY picks up the phone in the branch), couldnt speak to Dave, couldnt speak to Maz, finally managed to speak to Gary Roberson. Was told that the CHAPS was sent yesterday, which is contracdictory to what i was told by Dave. TBH, its ruined my intial good experience with the dealership.
  3. Another rubbish Top Gear list. M135i didnt even make the Top 10 hot hatch list either.
  4. I commute about 45 miles every day, so the DPF doesnt bother me. On the maxidot on my motorway commute im seeing 60mpg, in fact today i got 65mpg over the 22 mile journey in my 2.0 TDI. Im showing a range of nearly 500 miles left on the tank after completing nearly 200 miles already. This is just insane to me, and i thought the car was going to be less efficient than the Audi A3 2.0 TDI it replaced, especially as my A3 was DSG and this is a manual. I cant comment on the 1.2TSI, ive only driven a Golf with the engine before.
  5. I think the standard speakers in my Adventure are actually quite superb. I had Bose in my Audi A3, and in my M135i i have the Harmon Kardon upgrade kit, and the Yeti is surprisingly very good.
  6. I thought the topic title was a tongue in cheek way of just saying he brought a new car. Nothing to be irked at. Im choosing not to have kids personally, as im too selfish and like spending money on myself and my wife! Cars, holidays and enjoying my life is more important than passing a "legacy" on. Not to mention the state of this horrible world we live in, which will be even worse when kids of today grow up. But thats even more O/T...........maybe one for another thread.
  7. Nah, thats horrendously expensive. You would be able to get it for around £100 elsewhere.
  8. Excellent. The discounts on Adventure models wasnt very forthcoming, but then you are getting SE Plus spec + more for SE money. £4k off is great, just remember if its a pre reg that you wont get new car replacement cover with your insurance, so GAP via 3rd party might be worthwhile.
  9. My Adventure is candy white with the standard matterhorns. Looks great.
  10. Good discount on the pre reg. Which sales person did you see? We dealt with Maz. Should have used one of my recommend a friend vouchers, I could have gotten £100 then!!
  11. Here's a couple of pics. Needs a clean already. Skoda Yeti by LukeDeakin, on Flickr I have since debadged the back. Skoda Yeti by LukeDeakin, on Flickr And one of my toy. My new M135i by LukeDeakin, on Flickr
  12. Yeah, the extra toys negated the fact we couldn't get 0% finance on it. Still tried to irk everything I could out the dealer. Managed £500 discount and 7.0% PCP. It would have been more expensive ordering a FL with the same kit on 0% deal. The dealer was reluctant to do anything else on it really. It was a hard pill to swallow, nearly signed on the line for an Octavia vRS estate, but having already got an M135i in the garage, didn't need 2x performance cars. The Skoda dealers definitely play hard ball compared with BMW, where I managed 15% discount. I had a feeling the maxidot may be over reading, however this morning it was indicating 585 mile range and 70 miles covered since the tank was brimmed. If I can get 600 miles per tank I will be ecstatic.
  13. My weekend toy is an M135i at the moment. Cracking car, picked it up on the 2nd September.
  14. Hi all, ive been around on these forums for donkeys years on a couple of difference usernames. First one was Deako, but i couldnt reset my password having changed the email address that was used for it. So last year i created Deako80, and ive never posted on it until now. The wife and i just part exchanged our Audi A3 Black Edition for a Yeti Adventure as we needed a bit more space for our dogs, and have to say we are both extremely impressed. We went for the 110ps version, and it doesnt feel too down on power or pace and i was concerned the 5th gear would be an issue on motorways, but at 70mph im impressed it cruises just over 2000rpm. Our daily commute has been getting 58-59mpg, compared to 62-63mpg for the A3, so overall im very happy. Ive had a whole host of other VAG cars, but this is my first Skoda. The experience is great so far.
  15. Most insurance companies will replace the car for a new vehicle within the first year of a policy, providing you are the first registered keeper of the car. So would not apply to pre-reg cars etc.
