Successfully replaced my wing mirror indicator unit today on a Skoda Octavia MkII 2012. Useful advice here on this topic ! My part No was SKODA RIGHT HAND MIRROR INDICATOR LAMP LIGHT 3T0949102 £20 on ebay . I found I could not remove the mirror plate (very cold weather ) Used a hot air gun to warm carefully behind fitted mirror and it came off very easily !

I think your right ! It did have me sweating though! I've done it once so now I know ! Thanks ! I 'll check this out carefully ! know what to expect from future updates !

All is well problem solved ! Managed to install FW 3984 (thought it stuck at the mpeg update point it took ages ) but eventually all ok ! We will see if the battery drainage problem stops ! Rns510 fan shuts down ok ! But then it always has done !

Hi there ! I have an RNS 510 fitted in my Octavia II Greenline 2012 it is version 3T0035680E HW61 SW3984 . It is suffering battery drain through a bungled attempt at installing a software Video in Motion hack ! I have obviously messed with the Can settings and it now thinks it is an older version than it actually is ! To make matters worse I thought I would reinstate the Can settings by installing Firmware version 3984 from an iso file I downloaded! this stopped installing at the point where it upgrades MPEG ( must have been wrong firmware ) so I used the swl.fix disc ! Now I have version 3T003568C HW61 SW3984 showing when I hold down System button to get version information ! There is no sound too ! I am kicking myself because I thought I read 3T003568E on the Firmware update screen but as the E was far right of the screen it must have been a B ! If that makes sense ! Anyone know where I can get the 3T0035680E 3984 firmware (or 4020) Any help and advice appreciated !

Hi all I have just installed the Kufatec - IMA and Ampire DVBT52 TV Tuner into my car. All I need to do now is get the RNS 510 to accept the TV. In the MEDIA->VIDEO-> screen the "DVD button is highlighted but the "AV" and "TV" buttons are greyed out and wont activate. The Documentation explains that --If the navigation unit has a software index higher than 522 the CAN-Gateway needs to be coded to TV tuner. My Index is alot higher as the car is fairly new! I have been told that The Can Gateway 19 needs to be altered so that Byte 4 has Bit 7 ticked. This does not work for me as the new coding is rejected ! My spec is COLUMBUS SAT NAV RNS 510 ========================== Delivery Part No 3T0035680E HW Version H61 SW Version 3984 Anyone suggest from experience an alternative Byte -Bit combination?(have also tried Byte 03 Bit 4 with no luck) Am I right in ticking the TV Tuner box under Installation List before I alter the coding ? Tried ticked and unticked and coding change is still not accepted ! Get the message "Code rejected error 22 Conditions not correct or request sequence error " I have my WSC, Import, and Equip No entered so this is not the cause ! Unfortunately there are no drop down help lists and tick boxes with my Can Gateway during long coding ? Any Help would be Appreciated!
