  1. Wide awake again, I must have been an Owl in a previous life, the last lot of chemo led to me getting a UTI, a blood clot just above my picc line, and a blood infection, resulting in me being neutrapenic. I wonder what delights this weeks lot is going to bring, i,==I've never had malaria or beri beri, I might go for them, with a tough of plague thrown in, by the time I am better, i should be immune to everything and live forever, knowing me I will be left with jeremy Kyle and that hideous Hopkins woman.......
  2. I got 'paid' yesterday and my sick pay was woefully short, as it was last month, usually a shortage is sorted out pretty quickly. After a rant for an hour on the phone to payroll, and Simon (bless him ) did his damndest to sort it out, it transpired my new tax code was all to ****. Another hour on the phone to the tax office and it transpires that my new tax code means that I am paying the maximum tax payable to any human on the planet, I must be a billionaire, I paid £1450 tax last month......A nice Welsh chappie sorted it out, and I 'should' get it all back next month. I wouldn't have noticed myself, it's a good job the mad wife controls my money. Not a rant about work i suppose, but nearly the same thing.
  3. If anyone wants to borrow a liver or a kidney, mine are practically brand new, not having seen alcohol for two months, probably the longest period in 40 years.......You would have thought it would be those bits that were trying to kill me, not the bits you dont think about..... Unknown aggressive cancer eh ! I always thought I was special, even the boffins in london are confused..... Black coffee is my friend,,,,,
  4. I used to go out with a girl like this, interesting to look at, but to all intents and purposes. in the real world, of very limited use.........
  5. Back in the old routine..... Just spent a week in hospital, firstly with a U.T.I. ( who needs drugs when hallucinations are free....) and then going neutrapenic, ( imagine solitary confinement, with just a sink to look at ! ) Was let home last night, just to wake up in agony at 3 this morning, at least I know what planet I am on today...........i am getting fed up of tea though.....
  6. I've lost 2 stones in the last 2 months........i wouldn't recommend the diet though.......
  7. Wide awake again......suffering from yesterdays top up of chemo.....I've got another 3 sessions of this, plus a big op. before I can even think of being 'normal. again. I am just really thankful I have the support of friends and family, people who have to suffer this alone, well I don't know if I would cope tbh........
  8. Timmy Mallett has a lot to answer for..........
  9. He can drive, atm he is much safer than me....
  10. If I am fit and able enough I will make a concerted effort to attend, if only to annoy people.....
  11. lets kill cancer, don't let it kill us.

  12. I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. having driven the car, I was very impressed, and if I hadn't just bought my current one, I would have gladly bought it at the then asking price. Someone is going to get an absolute bargain.....
  13. I've got it...... The 'Tag Team Fight To The Death Of The Century' Team 1:- Gervaise and Corden Team 2:- Clarkson and Evans Team 3:- Kyle and Hopkins. feel free to add any more nauseating duos you can think of... This could make me a fortune...... I finished my first bout of Chemo yesterday, I think the plethora of drugs have turned me into a genius.............( maybe not, just slightly madder than normal...)
  14. My daughter had a run in with him once, apparantly he is one of the 'do you know who I am' type, but she is one of the 'you are just an ignorant rude bloke' type.........she won.
  15. True pro. is Amanda. she is a cross between Oliver Reed and Olive Oyl................go girl...... Should I stay up, or should I jetwash the drive......I can claim the drugs made me do it......
  16. I put him at about the same level as Ricky Gervaise............In fact they should fight each other to death, and not stop until they were both dead........
  17. Well, that's my sleeping done for today, woke up in agony again.... I'm stuck for something to do now, my Kindle has ran out of power, crap on tv, no ironing to do, the house is spotless, and even the daft dog doesn't want to go out......I suppose I could start stripping wallpaper...Ho Hum. Chemo starts on Tuesday, can't say I'm looking forward to that !
  18. With me having a dreadful sleep pattern of late, it's the middle of the night for me now, so I should be allowed to post.... Morphine tastes horrible, but it works, I can manage about 4 hours in between doses until the pain takes over. With all of the other meds I am taking i can manage around 1 1/2 hours at a time with lucid thoughts, and generally feeling normal, which for me is probably longer than when I was ill........ I even managed a trip to the supermarket yesterday, and bought a load of crap that I don't need, so business as usual I suppose... Back to bed for a bit then, night night........
  19. Sharkrider is/was a paramedic/ambulance driver/ first responder chappie, give him a pm, I am sure he will answer your questions, he is an agreeable and helpful chap.
  20. Wide awake now waiting for the Morphine to kick in, the plus side is I managed 4 hours sleep, the most for over a month......who needs alcohol to get spaced out....
  21. About 20 miles each way, which dependant on the time of day I start ( school kicking out time, rush hour etc ) can take up to 1hr 30 mins, coming home in the early hours it takes 25 mins, keeping an eye on the myriads of speed cameras.
  22. I think I am dying.....

  23. I'd just take the service as Skoda say, after all, you will have over 12 months to save for it's next one, and it will have a full and complete history then, which can mean an awful lot at trade in time. Having said that I once bought a Jersey reg Fiat Uno, at just 3 months old, with no warranty ( F 162 PLE iirc ) and saved around £1k on list, but it went wrong every week, and my local dealer just used to fix it f.o.c., I traded it in after 6 months having ragged it to death, and got more than I paid for it, but then bought a lemon of an Escort.......
  24. When I was a kid, around 7, in my head I was driving a brand new Aston Martin convertible, I still haven't got one.......so does a nearly 50 year wait count ? As an aside, my late uncle ordered a brand new Morgan in the early 70's, with as I recall a 3 year waiting list, he only kept it 3 months, as it was 'horrible' I don't doubt he made a profit on it though...
  25. I am not interested in my post count, speak to Sharky..
