  1. I spoke to the tyre fitter who seemed surprised that the main dealer would apply tyre shine as part of the service. I have had not success in trying to speak to dealer service department so I spent some time this morning cleaning the gunge off. Would rather had not had it in the first place. Thanks all, Ian
  2. Definitely not applied by tyre fitter, intentionally or otherwise. I retorqued all the road wheel nut when I got home from tyre fitter and could not have missed it. The stuff is oily, has not dried out after 24 plus hours. No mention on service paperwork about it being part of the service, although it was obviously done by main dealer while he had the car for service. An addtional Covid treatment seems most likely to me but why would the dealer not advertise so? Unfortunately, I cant contact the dealer, not surprising as he is a main dealer. I might contact the tyre fitter tomorrow. Ian
  3. I have just fitted new set of tyres before having service and MoT at main dealers a few days later. When I got the car from main dealer, all road wheels had substantial coating of sticky oil on side walls. Not seen this before. Any ideas why? Ian
