  1. Dear Skoda and fellow Yeti owners, I would like to say Hi to all as I have just laid down a deposit on this beauty!!!! This is the first time I have bought a new car as I have driven Classic VW's all my life such as Beetles, campers, polos and Golfs. I said I would always buy Volkswagen but with our first child on the way and the prospect of Trans European driving twice a year we had to look further afield. I think we have made a great choice and the wife is also super chuffed as she loved the Yeti since its launch. Its is a 2.0 Diesel in Brilliant silver and as its in the showroom already we could even have it by Monday!!!!! (right, I would stay longer and chat but we have an antenatal class to get to! See ya!!!!!!!)
  2. Very nice. I like the decal on the side. I wonder if there is a part number
  3. Thank Weyland, I too asked the dealer again today and he said that ASR and ESP are basically the same thing so its fine?!!!! Anyway, I checked the 'build your own' section of the Skoda.co.uk website, and the safety features are clearly stated in the Urdan details that it does not have ESP.http://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/pages/step2.aspx Its still is not a point that will entirely stop us buying one but is food for thought. Its a shame as the urban pictured above is Gorgeous, and after a test drive (albeit in a 6speed petrol), we have decided that a Yeti is the car for us. Maybe we too shall wait as we are ok for a car for the next year, and in the mean time look at the approved second hand market for an elegance. Thanks again
  4. Thanks Man, I have read your posts with interest and the additions you have made to your car. We look to buy a yeti as we are having our first child and wanted something that will take everything we throw at it. This will include travelling to and from Poland twice a year to see my wife's family. We go over during the winter too so will be buying snow shoes. The urban is a great car and fantastically priced. We didn't neccesarily want a 4x4 as we don't need it but the ESP is maybe a worry now. Should it be a deciding factor as to whether we buy this or not?
  5. Hi all, this is my first post as I am very close to purchasing a Yeti Urban in Brilliant Silver. My first job was to do plenty of research that let me to discovering this forum to learn of the Yeti. During my research the 'ESP on an Urban' subject popped up so I had to ask the dealer ASAP. Like Joe-public, the dealer was also very confused with the literature in the new Yeti brochure, however, he determined that the Urban they have in stock has ESP as determined by the 'ASR OFF' button on the dash placed just below the climate control settings. Now my question to you guys that have Yeti's is, is this factually correct or is my local dealer-type-guy just talking rubbish! Do Yeti's with ESP have ASR as part of the package or is button as standard? Thank you in advance and also 'Hello' from me! Pic of the Urban Dash with said button circled. And the car in question.
