  2. Hi I have for sale an Alpine PMX T320 amp. Its in excellent condition and perfect working order. I have the original box and packaging although not shown in photo. Amp is 150w rms bridged. Its a current model and only about 3-4 months old. Specs can be found on the web. Only selling as i need an amp that runs at 2ohm stable. Buyer collect from the Lincoln LN1 area or postage available at extra cost. £55.00
  3. Hi, I am selling 2 Alpine SBG-1044BR enclosed subwoofers. Used with original packaging. Was up for sale new but i have since matched it with my existing one to use two. Takes up too much boot space really having two so going for one 12" instead. 2 available and i have the matching amp to power one up for sale to. Excellent working order, not clipped etc. Amp setup with oscilloscope to set gains properly. Alpine built enclosure with clear perspex window and integrated light. Cash on collection from Ln1 area Lincoln. £50 Each . ovno Thank you
  4. This probably will not help with the mk3 and maybe pretty common knowledge anyway. However, the mk2 fl fuse box can be tapped into on the fuse for the rear wiper and also fuse 19 for towbar electrics, these both seem fine for running my dash cam and amp remote. I am sure things may have moved on for the mk3 though.
  5. Hi, Just thought i would add my experience to this thread. I recently (maybe 6-8 months ago) swapped my bolero in my vrs fl to a Wince DS820 by audiosources. You can find a massive thread in the mk2 forum. This was a direct replacement and went straight in no fuss and looks totally factory fit. I did spend another £25 ish on buying a proper vag mic and loom and mounting it in the factory position within the interior light unit. This also just connected straight into the new HU. The Bluetooth hands free with on screen phone book was my main reason for buying the unit. I use the phone a lot when in the car for work. This seems to work well. This unit may be a bit older now and i am unsure if its still available. However, it works with my front and rear parking sensors, aircon display etc. It has crashed probably 5 times since its been installed, ignition off and back on job to get it going again. When it crashes you still get music but no display. Also if you put the car into reverse too quickly and it hasn't booted, you will just get one line of Chinese text on the display. Plays dvds, has built in sygic although slow to load works really well. No facia adaptor or anything required. Just the vag mic if you wanted proper factory hands free. Now i have a proper subwoofer output i have also just added an amp and small alpine sub in the boot to take advantage. Plus the bass output didn't seem as good on this unit as the Bolero. Hope that helps a little. Thanks

  7. Just in case anyone digs this up in the future. The cd changer compartment door trim from a pre fl fits perfectly in the face lift. You will need to make the slits in the side boot trim for the door lugs to go into. Nothing that can't be done with a stanley knife and sharp blade. Ideal place to store an amp out of harms way. Thanks
  8. I am going to try to get hold of my brothers one and try it out. I am not sure how it hinges at the bottom but i will soon see i guess. Thanks
  9. Hi, Does anyone know if the boot trim door that covers the cd changer compartment in a pre face lift octavia vrs will fit the same void in the facelift? This void seems like the ideal place for a small amplifier. If the door from the facelift would fit it would mean the amp doesn't get dripped on when you open the boot and the settled rain water comes in! From what i can see it looks like the same size opening. Thanks
  10. You may well be correct. Looking at the diagram there is an ACC pin labelled. I suppose i just need to check this with a multimeter to see if its acting as a switched live on the ignition or powering up when the stereo is switched on. While i have the stereo out i will also check to see when the reverse+12vout wire has power. Ideally i dont want an amp on when the car is running and the stereo is off. Although the stereo is on 99% of the time when the car is running in reality i suppose. Older style aftermarket headunits were always much more simple than this. Thanks
  11. Dragging this post up from the past i know! Does anyone know what wire on the additional DS820 looms i should be using for an amp Control wire. In the good old days, they were normally blue and labelled control. This unit has a loom that includes rear cam with voltage. I wasn't sure if this was constant or only engaged when reverse is selected. I can't check until i pull the headunit out and connect as i didn't fit any of the extra looms when i installed it. Only the Vag Mic. It would be silly having the subwoofer out and no proper control power for the amp? On the camera loom there are 3 non rca connectors (just wires) labelled RIGHT REVERSE, REVERSE, REVERSE+12VOUT. Cheers.
  12. This is great. I didn't get any response from them so this is most definitely a step in the right direction. Hopefully they get back to you.
