  1. Thanks for that, so unless I'm reading it wrongly there is no DMF on these. Well that's a positive Excellent thanks, another dealer this morning just quoted me 60k or 4 years. Laughable really.
  2. Thanks here's the email I got direct from Seat UK.... "Thank you for your message dated 24 April 2012 via www.seat.co.uk regarding the cam belt change on your SEAT Ibiza, registration number **07 *** SEAT UK recommends a cam belt change for your SEAT Ibiza at 100,000 miles or 4 years which ever comes first. Please note that this recommendation is specific to your vehicle based on the chassis number. It's damn annoying because I've had about 4 different numbers, I don't want to buy the car and then find 40k like Seat are now pumping out!
  3. Hi, I'm considering a new fabia CR105 and currently have a Ibiza 1.9tdi sport. I'm wondering what the cambelt service intervals are on the skoda, because asking at dealers I get varying figures from 40k to 110k. I have had the same issue with my Ibiza, they currently tell me 40k or 4 years, my book says 60k or 5 years, contacting seat direct I got 60k or 4 years! My work mate in a different part of the country gets a different figure again from a dealer! Also do these new Skodas use a DMF? Thanks
  4. I'm pleased I found this thread on a search engine I have today been looking at a 105 CR Fabia. I currently have a 100bhp Seat Ibiza 07 plate with the same 45 litre tank PD engine. I fancied a change and looking at the tank range quoted of 650 odd miles, now I fully expect that to be well OTT. My Ibiza 1.9pdi engine delivers on my 50 mile commute to work 500 mile tank range easily and has since new. I get 500 miles winter or summer from a 40 litre refill, ignoring the trip computer is 57mpg and I sit at 70mph for the motorway parts of my journey. Looking at this thread with the same size fuel tank I wouldn't get near that with a new fabia, I think I might have to look elsewhere or just keep what I have. I was hoping for a 500 mile tank range again :(
